I'm firming hanging on to the straws thag Emily wasn't being general when she said 3 British bands and Radiohead have stepped up late to replace Adele. On muse, I definitely won't watch them, so it doesn't bother me or surprise me, so I hope there's something good to watch elsewhere, which as its Glastonbury, there will be

I'm underwhelmed by both Coldplay and Muse. However, I am also happy as it opens up more headliner options for me. If she also headlines, Adele I will not see either but if she does, then at least its a more original booking than the other two. Fingers crossed for some good acts on West Holts and The Park, my two favourite stages.

I've only just arrived at the party so apologies if it's been covered but I'm making dinner and desperate for info.

Are we thinking this makes Adele less likely? SURELY she would have been announced tonight if she was headlining? Can't see any sense at all in announcing someone else over her given the week she's had.

Dare I say it...but have Radiohead stepped up to replace Adele?

So the greatest festival on earth announces a headliner who has already headlined 3 times. then announces the next headliner who has already headlined twice

For its own sake it surely cant announce a third headliner who has headlined twice before (Radiohead) - it would not look good on the festival this year if it has to go back to its old friends for its headliners

.. and for that reason only, the third headliner has to be Adele... but only if she can cope with it (anyone see the front page of the Star today?) With Radiohead lined up in case of any late issues

Or do, because opinions are allowed, and you can express the fact that you were hoping for a different headline act without being banished from the festival

Yes and moan like a child? Be a slight bit more mature and see someone else. Not difficult is it.

Its not the best festival in the world because of it's headliners.

Yeah, sure you can see someone else, there's loads of stages, all of that, but it's perfectly possible to love the festival but still find this years headlining acts to be dull, uninspired bookings.

Anyway, hope all those dreary c**ts who signed the Kanye petition last year are happy with this.

I will, of course, see someone else and have a fantastic time, as I have at every previous festival. That doesn't affect my right to express my opinions about headliners, both good and bad. I'm not even particularly thinking of myself here - I'm thinking of my best mate who's going to his first Glastonbury this year. I'd hoped we'd get to experience an amazing Pyramid headline set together, as there really is nothing like it.

What's the chance that Adele's tour programme has the Glastonbury date in it.....and they'll therefore announce this Sunday before the tour kicks off in Belfast on Monday?

Has Muse been announced as Adele's contract stipulates she must be the last, and therefore the implied biggest, announcement?

    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
