It's like Emily booted up Glastonbury on the default setting.

I'd probably only see Radiohead, might see Coldplay if i'm too dead to go anywhere else

It's got one band I really wanna see, and two I'm not too bothered about seeing

perfect trio

1 band I love (Coldplay), 1 band I like but have seen at Glastonbury so a good back up if nothing else (Muse), 1 band I just don't get (Radiohead).

Cant complain at all.

My thoughts?

Michael or Emily saying "bands" doesn't necessarily get to mean only bands and not solo acts. 'Bands' is the most common way of saying 'acts' and so doesn't necessarily mean just bands. I don't think it's enough to change any thinking on Adele by itself.

It is, all the same, slightly more suggestive of Radiohead.

And it's good to have the Foos put to bed. I was always pretty sure they weren't in the mix.

I really fear that everything is pointing towards Muse/Adele/Coldplay :(

Don't get me wrong, it's an impressive set of acts, but I love seeing curve ball acts appear, even if I have zero personal interest. I know it's more than the Pyramid headliners, but there really is something special about the slot.

There's one of your precious female slots taken then.

feel like they're itching to get stuff out this year. That's a big booking but even so, in previous years they wouldn't have gone out of their way to announce it. Do we think we'll actually get the lineup pre-balance this year?

    • A name I didn’t think of. Maybe too big though. Think he’d go down very well despite being quite controversial.
    • Oh bummer, got excited then 😂   Although if I had read all the way down it would have been a bit of a give away, no other festival will book both of those 😂
    • I think the age of tickets flying out day one for a lot of artists is drawing to a close now, especially with the prices.   There will be exceptions of course, I was surprised how quickly Phoebe Bridgers sold out
    • Tbf they sold out the mainland European shows that follow this UK tour more or less immediately so I guess much of Europe will be stadiums for them next summer regardless and they might want to bring any stadium bespoke production here, even if it's just one night at a London stadium or whatever.    I like the new album and wanted to see them again but £150 for a standing ticket is ridiculous and all the sub-£100 price categories sold out. So you know, would like to go but guess I'm waiting for any last minute dropouts. Tbf I would hazard a guess of these 4 UK shows in November that more tickets are sold than unsold and by the time of the show it'll be, if not a full house, close enough.
    • I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility    It would feel like a bit of waste for their first set in the UK for 12 years be an hour and 10 mins as a sub    A lot of people will buy day tickets just for FNM
