Tomorrow, according to this:

@MichaelEavis1 & his delightful wife are having a discussion about headlining acts @thecrossways over lunch, all should be revealed 2morrow‪#‎Glastonburyfestival‬

Could "his delightful wife" be Emily? Or has he taken up with someone new??

Also this tweet by someone who seems to work there:

As someone who has, for years, spent endless hours doing homework so as to become as familiar as possible with artists on a festival line-up, I'm in two minds here. I know that I enjoy live music best when I know it well. Yes, I love to discover stuff I've never heard before, but that's a different, and not quite as emotional an experience as hearing live stuff you've grown to adore on record. So, getting the line-up is veruy important to me, in allowing me that preparation, and therefore an even greater enjoyment of the music at the festival.

But, this is my first Glastonbury...

And there's quite a lot of me that is enjoying, albeit frustratingly, the unique approach that the Eavii take to the line-up. I in no way see this model as arrogant, presumptuous, nor in anyway taking their customers for granted. S2H articulated it very nicely in suggesting that they are not looking for band/artist/genre-specific fans. They are looking for Glastonbury fans. And, even though I am a newbie, my featival history, and those things that are most significant/important to me in life have already made me a Glastonbuy fan, before I get through the gates.

So, it'll come when it comes. But please leave me some homework time, Michael/Emily...!

Your approach and attitude is awesome for a Glastonbury newbie. Please be at the e festivals meet as I'd love to hear what you have to say when you really see the site and feel its presence. There is nothing quite like it

I am like you, I love to listen to bands and hear the same music live, but at Glastonbury it does not matter - it truely doesn't. Some of the best moments are when you just absorb the atmosphere around you, its magical

have fun and I can;t wait to hear what you opinion is post festival !

Seems odd, what do we think, will all be revealed tomorrow?

Really keen to see park/west holts line-ups!

Whilst you can only take what's written online with a massive pinch of salt.

That is a pub/restaurant very close to the festival site and I have heard it's one of Michael's favourites so it's very plausible that he was there.

As far as discussing that subject who knows? but I'd have much more faith in believing that than anything Roses4baggy ever said.

Yup I'm aware of that pub, been there before myself.

I think it's time for the forum to get ready!!!

that might be precisely why they don't announce until after.

How many people pay the tickets up without an announcement would show either way whether the fuss over Kanye was meaningful or not.

As a general idea, I go with the idea that they're likely to want to try to get some sort of measurement of whether there's a Kanye impact or not. If they announce something before the tickets need to be paid up then they don't get to make a decent measure of the impact.

Could they not gauge a reaction on say first 3 days sales. I presume a lot of people like myself pay when window opens. If by weekend and sales are down on same period last year could that sway them into releasing something to drive sales ?

I don't know at all how much they stick to original plan or how much they change plans to react quickly to sales, press etc

When the tickets sold out in October, didn't they say that line up would be announced 1st April? They soon changed it to 'in the Spring'. Can anyone else remember seeing that?

1st April was a quote from ME

Spring is the official line from the festival most/every year

There's more weight to that story than the usual guff we get around here, someone who is local to the festival, identifies themselves as staff in a local restaurant so it's not like him/her wouldn't be easy to track down, doesn't seem to be an attention seeker (ie no outlandish headliner statements)

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Don't remember, but Michael did say the 1st.

I also didn't know he'd remarried! Good for him!

Does seem a bit of a random claim for them to be lying, I guess if they was just overhearing things then it could have been misheard/put together with something else they know.

We know Shangri La are annoucing things soon (today?).

Basically I have doubts, but who knows =p

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
    • Out of interest keep seeing messages saying last 12 hours etc… to buy you full weekend tickets.  Whats that about? Do they take them off sale early?
