Missed it :(

Still, it's not Coldplay, so that's worth the money I've lost!

That's the way I see it as I don't think Paddy Power do cash out (except they do only on certain games, how odd). Was only about a tenner so not exactly the amounts that (I think) Scruffy or Big Vern put on last year.

Them doing Sunday would have been the absolute worst as it would mean Coldplay headlining and I still lose money! :P

No. I believe Coldplay is right, but I don't know for certain. By the nature of things I only get to find that out when it's announced.

I'm responsible for what is done with my own money. I'm not responsible for what you might do with your money.

There's still a slight chance they could reopen the market with Coldplay at quite low odds too, as they clearly didn't read efests before they put them odds up (or they already knew it wasn't them). Getting the money back would be the absolute icing on the cake

I almost put another tenner on to put the total up to £25, haha. Phew!

Muse? Free on the Saturday 27th

unlikely, doing Download 2 weeks before Glastonbury but I guess Metallica doing Sonisphere didn't stop them....not sure about the politics of Download's promoters or if they're exclusive (again Metallica/Sonisphere....)

playing Sweden on the Friday and Belgium on the Sunday, so not ideal tour schedule, but not unworkable either...

they might be too "rock" though with FF, especialy after Emily said they were the rock headliner...

    • Sam Fender, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter is a very bland set of headliners. Commercially successful and makes plenty of sense, but it wouldn't be very inspirising. That said I want a band like Green Day to headline so who am I to say what exciting is.
    • Potentially rogue shout here but could see Rebecca Black in the running for a mid-afternoon spot. I know most people still remember her for Friday but lately she’s been putting out a lot of fun pop bangers, think this could be a very fun booking!
    • FFS why when there are pull outs does it always include so many of the names I had as must sees!
    • This is a pretty petulant stance.   I oppose him headlining because I love coming to Slam Dunk and he would be a very big reason why I wouldn't come. That doesn't mean they can't choose to do so, they obviously can, I would just stop coming to that version of Slam Dunk.   Another name that I'll throw out there as name I'd love is Biffy Clyro.
    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
