Blur's calendar is free as a bird after their Hyde Park gig at the weekend. My thoughts are that if they do replace Foos at glasto, it wouldn't be announced until after then, as ticket sales for the gig are not as good as the organisers expected? It would be awesome if they played though!

Said this a few times but I don't think it matters anymore. You can bet BST released exactly enough tickets yesterday to bring the crowd up to a minimum level they're happy with. Any further full price purchases (and they might get a small number in light of last night's news) are a bonus from here in.

I agree, I got an email this morning to say they are selling Hyde Park tickets for Charity, on a 'pay what you want basis'.   :sarcastic:

Yeah two years in a row of slashing prices

Can't be good surely?

Absolutely right. And the problem is compounded because people expect prices to be slashed so they hold off buying tickets

Tickets are going for £7.50 anyway apparently so hardly going to make a difference

I can now answer my own question, having received an email in the last hour.

They got me to phone 02037847998 quote my donation number.  On hold for 10 mins (Mr Grohl's fault no doubt!) and paid £5 booking fee and received the e-tickets straight away!

Has anyone heard anything about the BST charity tickets today?  I had an email last night about it being looked into, but nothing since.

Just got an email, telling me to call the same phone number as someone else posted.

My only concern is that I have tickets for one of my donations already. Was there a limit on how many you could buy? I feel like there wasn't and that you could order 4 or 6 if you wanted?

And before anyone asks, I did actually donate twice!

Maximum of two per donation.

No idea if you could go back and donate again on the same card though.

Oh yeah that's what I did. I made two donations on the same card, requesting two each time as I'd thought the first didn't work. I might just ask them when I call up.

This is what the email says:

We now have updated the system and can accommodate to book your ticket.

(Customers have to donate via Just Giving first (having come from the BST site initially) then they will be directed to the AXS offer page online where they can redeem up to 2 tickets for £2.50 each. )

As the offer is no longer available online, please give us a call at 02037847998 so we can book ticket for you.

Alternatively, send us your contact number and we will give you a call as soon as we can.

Please make your donation reference number ready as our staff will need it to book your ticket.

    • I'm not a Bond fan or anything, just a fella who will happily sit and watch a Bond film - so from that perspective I will say that Brosnan is my favourite, I really love all the ones he has done and can quite happily watch them over and over.   favourite individual film tho is On Her Majesty's Secret Service.   absolutely hate the Dalton ones - I used to think it was just the way he chose to play the character, for some reason he thought Bond should be a thoroughly unlikable person. but actually, Dalton plays this exact same character in every single thing I have ever seem him in... so I think he is either just a properly sh*t actor, or maybe he himself is just a thoroughly unlikable person.   dont really have any interest in any future ones tho... didnt really like the Craig ones.
    • Next year's dates: 3. - 5. June 2027.
    • Fair enough but Im surprised what you say about the acts. I dont see who they could realistically have booked to make it better than the lineup they had.   And Im curious about your cryptic last comment. Locals get in for free?!
    • Non of those three are stadiums bands and Slipknot/Maiden have both been booked for Download more times than any of other headliners, I wouldn't say that trio feels big or expensive, it's a solid realistic trio
