The bit from Overmono in their MixMag profile about Glastonbury gives us nothing about this year (screenshot below).

However the significance and importance of the festival to them mentioned elsewhere in the profile, and the profile generally,  are great - https://djmag.com/cover-features/overmono-live-underground

I'm pretty certain they're as good as confirmed.

Did not know Tesla’s brother was Blacknecks. As referenced in the piece what a fucking banger.

Some dude has shared about 200gb worth of early 90's mixes, this is the sound of my youth!

I seen this the other day and I instantly bookmarked the page. Check out Magpie303 on Soundcloud if you've not already 🙂

Do you remember that story where Blocko was really fucked at an award ceremony. He got back from the loos and all his mates told him he’d won an award and to get up on stage ASAP. Poor guy 😂

I remember watching it on TV haha, I read his book and that's as wild as you'd expect.

Main stages for Friday and Saturday don't really do it for me (lots of clashes on Sunday annoyingly based in clashfinder).

So one of Saturday/Sunday will be my hard core dance day/night 💥

Anyone any idea when they will release the dance area and naughty corners line ups?

Also had anyone seen The House of barefoot line up? If we get anything like those lot at Glastonbury I'll be in heaven! I know a lot of them are glastonbury stalwarts so not totally out of the question...

Just need Adam Freeland to come back from the American desert as well 🤞

Can you tell I like prog and breaks? 😂

Any other recommendations gladly received. Been out of the game for a while (bloody kids). First Glastonbury for 9 years after not missing one since 1997......

It could literally be any day now.  We're expecting 2 area announcements a week ish but there's no pattern.

Agreed. Absolutley ridiculous. Insane. I don't know how they did it for such a small festival in the North East.

My daughter's 10th birthday (bloody kids again 😉) otherwise I would have had to have gone.

Thank fook we got resale tickets for Glastonbury instead.

Great thanks a lot. Now you've really got my juices flowing..

@stuie is right, it could be any day, but just to say that in 2019 Block9 was the last area to drop! However, my mate pointed out that it dropped early in 2015 and 2017 - i.e. every other festival! So fingers crossed.

What we can be certain of is that #TINP.

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
