This interview was originally going to be broadcast weeks ago but was pulled when Rudd was arrested. Back then an announcement that they were definitely touring would have been news. Now its common knowledge.

I think it's more provisional than incorrect. It's a French site and they've seemingly got the French date right, as that's the one that's been touted... unless this is why.

surely a world tour won't be left to some english breakfast radio host to announce.

the AC/DC website will be announcing the tour first. radio stations in certain countries might get the tour dates in that country but will be embargoed until after the full tour is announced officially by the band.

2) Phil is still in the band as it stands. There has been no public declaration that he is out, merely that he's in a bad way. He may be out, but we don't know that, or that there is a drummer rehearsing. I imagine Slade and Wright are practicing their little socks off at home in between crossing their fingers.

I think it is just a site bulit on guesses of gigs in capital cities.

Brian said they would be on the road for 20 months and according to that site that's one gig a month!! Easy life.

Chris Slade has been banging out DC tunes for years since he left so no need to practise much

I don't mean any disrespect to any AC/DC drummers, past or present, but it's hardly the most difficult of drumming. Any reasonable drummer would be up with their set-list within a few weeks.

They're not a band that has ever had to rely on a drummer/bassist, their sound is all from the rhythm/lead guitars (Malcolm will be missed).

Bit patronising. I have. I've probably read listened to more than you (unless you've been party to every single one plus a bonus one that I haven't seen) seeing as I'm heavily involved with an ACDC fans group. Brian has said nothing categoric. He and Angus have said Phil needs to sort himself out and commented that he's not in a good place at the moment. If you can provide me with a link and quote that says he's out of the band and will stay out, then I'll back down. I could say maybe you should read them properly, but that's not my style.

I disagree Stu, it's not something that would leap out as much as if they got Stevie Ray Vaughn on lead, but the way the Rudd hits the drums does add a lot to the sound - he fooking wallops them and is rock solid rhythm wise. When Slade played with them, things were faster and looser (Some people liked that, I say: "vive la difference"), but with Rudd recording this album, it's his sound and I think he should be given the chance to play, if he can sort himself out. Will he? I have my doubts.
