AC/DC Says Lars

Well, I heard today that ACDC shouldn't be ruled out.

Would sh1t all over Metallica if they did play.

They're not fit to string Metallicas guitars. Metallica are a progressive band. Always have been. AC/DC is continuous 3 chord cock rock. AC/DC are like Status Quo with distortion.

Edit - thats not to say they will nail the headliner slot by the way. They will if they play, no question.

A moment in my life I shall never forget - 1982 Hammersmith Odeon..........

FIRE

I need to see AC/DC again and them at GF would make my decade.

I saw em at Leeds Queens Hall on that tour i was only 16 , I had seen Saxon a few days before ,, my first gigs what an introduction to live music and its why i am on this forum now.

The day after DC I went to Hong Kong for a month with my mum and brother ( my dad had died the year before - you could not get my dad out of the UK there was no Newcastle United information abroad ) anyway we were on the shuttle flight from Leeds Bradford to Heathrow and Malcolm and Phil walked onto the plane. As we landed i got Phils autograph but Malc was still asleep so i let him be. I have sitll have ticket and Phil's signature somewhere.

Never actually realised how long Brian Johnson had been in the band, thought Bon Scott had sang over the majority of their stuff. (Mind you, without knowing I've always found it difficult to distinguish between the two)

The latter's an absolute belter, though unfortunately there's zip chance of it making an appearance if they play.

Really? I thought it'd be one of their big ones. Although looking at Setlist.fm "The Jack" is apparently their most played song and I've never heard of it!

They don't tend to play IALWTTT because it's the archetypal Bon song, but I'm optimistic this tour will be different...

I do not think they played it in later years with Bon - the bagpipes probably had something to do with that !

That and the fact that Brian doesn't want to sing it as he feels it was too much of a signature song for Bon Scott.

Its a pity because thats the Glasto opener. Perfect.

As for The Jack, I quite like it. It's not especially sophisticated, but there are worse louche, thuggish, low-slung blues tunes in existence.

But not many.

If we're going into louche and thuggish tunes I'll take Givin the Dog A Bone any day. But they don't play that do they?
