For me personally, its an equal tie with 2008 for worst set of headliners since I started following the festival in 2003. I have a little interest in the Foos, but looks like Suede will be clashing with them anyway.

That said, I loved having a wander around during Metallica last year. Jon Hopkins and Mogwai were superb.

Done the same. Nothing is changing my opinion of them. Love Substitute (always have), quite like some others (always have), the rest leaves me cold. I guess by now, if I was ever going to get into them, I would have done already.

I don't know much about The Who to be honest, I know I've heard one or two of their tracks. It all depends who is on elsewhere for me because if there's someone I'm a fan of on elsewhere then it's no contest. Then again if I have to settle for The Who then I don't want to be stood watching liking a silent dumpling.

Im pleased we know now, or at least seem to, tbc is good enough for me regardless of coldplay.

Anyway, I'm pleased its someone im not interested in, wanted to make sure i could see the whole of belle and sebastian on park and then wander over to something else to end the evening.

Kinda disappointing though cos i imagine a lot of my friends would go just because its the who. Think a lot of people will be there for that very reason, and the performance will just fall a bit flat as a result, they don't have the plethora of hits that prince, stones, macca etc. have to wow a crowd where a lot of them are just there for the novelty factor.

Whats your definition of hits? Prince has 10 uk top tens, the Who have 13.

No, you're right. I'm not going to watch The Who anyway. I don't have a ticket to that Paris gig. It won't directly affect me. So why on Earth should I be bothered by rude, contemptuous behaviour, showing no regard for the people who put them in the position they are, and put food on their table.

Good point. Well made. And entirely in keeping with the egalitarian, communal attitude that the festival likes to promote. You're my idea of a perfect Glastonbury festival goer. We should meet up for drinks 'n' stuff.
