Well, unfortunately they've become a bit too trendy which I think is why the London gig (and, no doubt, a Glastonbury set) would attract hoardes of hipster types so would likely dangerously over-fill the JPT. I still think a tent suits them better, though.

Totally agree saw Alt-J both open tuts at TITP and then the next year headline the tent off of the same album and you could definitely hear major major improvements in their sound and it seemed like they had adapted to a much bigger sound over the year but a tent most definitely suits them.

it's hugely unlikely to be Prince.

Whoever the act is, they *DEFINITELY* have other shows (as told to me by a senior Glasto person).

There's no suggestion of Prince having other shows.

Does the act have announced shows or shows in the pipeline?

Does this pretty much narrow it down to Blur or Fleetwood Mac?

I had a thought, that the reason they can't announce it due to other shows, is because the other shows aren't as part of the band that are going to be headlining, IE Selway and Greenwood playing their own shows and then Radiohead playing G, it's wishful thoughts

Didn't Radiohead get ruled out because they don't actually want to play?

I think someone either posted a link or spoke about Thom not liking the sound quality on the pyramid stage. (or I may have dreamt that)

It's a picture of the DARK SIDE OF THE MOON at the top of the line up poster, so it's GOT to be Dave Gilmour hasn't it, or possibly the remaining members of Pink Floyd too?? /fingers crossed

Did what Neil think turn out to be true? About an act dropping out, and therefore the third headliner was booked in the last week? Or did that turn out to be wrong

I don't know.

I asked Emily when the 3rd headliner was booked, but the answer was lost in the room's noise. Emily needed to get back for the babysitter, so i didn't re-ask.

Ah ok. So there's a chance it could have been iow headliner all along.

Could this mean giddins comment about not gettin one over glasto (which we thought were generalised comments) could be referring to glasto having FM too.

Love this, it is one of the biggest festivals in the world but one of the main organisers still has to get back for the babysitter, this that sort of thing that makes Glastonbury different, that and Hank the bin painter
