Personally I would need some other verification to believe the skin is going up. The 8th of April just seems way too early for me. I think last year was the earliest it went up and that was the middle of May. Early April just seems very odd

Someone who posts here and lives near by like wickedfaerie confirming it would make me a believer, but for now Im still a doubting ThomThom

That's fair enough. Like I say, I can only confirm it was sent to me by someone nearby, but can't proclaim in the first person to seeing it, as I'm a lifetime away. I just got all giddy and had to post it!

I just want the lineup so I know what type of fans will be getting covered by my pints of piss during the Sunday headliner.

Joking of course. This wait has led me to feel completely numb to the point where I don't even know why I read through these forums every hour.

I see loads more bands now than I did when I was younger in the early 90s.

Mainly because I was off my head then and spent large amount of time watching clouds. And jugglers.

And jugglers juggling clouds?

Course it is. I see a minimum of 5 bands per day. It's all very well going down the "don't plan anything" theory that is endlessly posted on here, but I plan loads. I won't see everything I want to, that's impossible, but I'll still see a shed load of bands.

I love the place and I love to wander through the T&C fields, watch some comedy, sit up on the hill etc. but it's still all about the music for me.

indeed. more than one way to skin a cat isn't there? i've had festivals full of bands, others much less so. that i can keep going back after all these years and enjoying it pretty much whichever way i choose is one of the main reasons for returning. just cos i did it one way last time has no bearing on what will happen next time.

i've no idea how this year will pan out, and i can't wait ti find out..

I think we need some input from Big Dog whose weather forecasts I value more than any other. Surely he will know who the Sunday headliner is.

Single Artist with a backing band?

Couldn't be the Moz Father could it?

Might be a bit of a step up from Pyrmaid afternoon slots but it would be hard to argue against him not having the fan base or the tunes

    • I was following up to pink_triangle's post about what Reform are saying they will do to find money for defence spending.   But with Labour, they may well water down or delay some of the net zero commitments, they may find ways to cut welfare spending with Pat McFadden's welfare review thing, but I don't think it's going to be near enough. They really tied themselves down with the tax commitments in their manifesto, just reversing Hunt's NI cuts would have gone a long way. Under Burnham I think they may try and reform some of the tax system, land taxes and levies etc. Certainly needs reforming. But that might all be after a general election if Labour were to win.  I reckon they will try and do something with fiscal rules to borrow more, and try and persuade markets to go along with them.  (and he's already rowed back on that waspi thing...I think his team and others in Labour had a word).
    • Feels like Leeds getting axed is just a matter of time now, and to be honest, it might be the only way to save Reading. The whole twin-site format just feels proper dated and way too expensive to run nowadays. If they scrapped Leeds and focused entirely on Reading, turning it into a proper London-adjacent day-trip fest for the younger crowd like All Points East or Wireless, it would actually make sense financially. But yeah, for the old-school rock crowd, the R&L era is completely dead and buried.
    • Its the obvious  place to find savings but will Ed Miliband play along? Will Labour MP's finally accept benefits cuts? This is as damaging for Reeves as for Starmer. Its hard to see how either survives. Meanwhile Burnham is bringing up WASPI when there is no chance they'll get anything. He'll have to say something about funding defence.
    • Yeah, I managed 2 at once last year but the setup meant 1 per purchase, my partner had to do her one separately using her code   14th Primavera, bring it on!
    • I’m heading to this but need to leave on the Sat. Does anyone have any experience of getting back to the train station without the shuttle bus running? Seems like it might be tricky
