We've reached the point now where it could conceivably drop any time between now and June 24th. My anticipation for it has diminished somewhat now, I'm not going to be chasing it obsessively, I'll just wait for the nice surprise when it finally turns up.

How are we all this morning anyway?

Or it's Prince...

I just cant see it. I think it will be a smaller act as kanye west and foo fighters are perceived as massive to most people.

florence and the machine makes perfect sense from every angle:

female? check

giving an up and coming band their shot at the bigtime? check

cheaper fee? check

perceived as "getting" glastonbury because she doesnt wear shoes? check

ex-public school? check

dreary shite that will appeal to cretins with appalling music taste? check

It's happening. We must accept it and look elsewhere for our headline pleasure.

My hopes are now pinned on iggy and SFA, given that bjork is a non-starter.

the devastating florence and the machine announcement creeps ever closer.

Mike99 is truly the scum of the earth for getting my hopes up over stone roses. I will never ever forgive that low life.

It's not the despair, I can take the despair. It's the hope that destroys you.

edit gah got mike and matt mixed up!

Hahahah :D love this!

Mike99 must pay!

much as I don't agree with those spoilt brats who whine about it I don't agree with the opposite attitude either or being totally sychophantic to glasto and `p[retending` not to care about the lineup at all.....there is no reason now after ticket sales have ended to keep it from us, at least release something for people to start getting excited about. I think people have been extremely patient and that deserves some kind of reward....said it before doesnt even matter if the 3rd healiner is tba on the lineup poster for now......just give us something lol

The reward is you got a ticket and you're going to Glastonbury.. Thats why we all scramble for tickets in October, no-one cares about the line up then, yeah it might frustrate some people come March who wanna know, but that's not how Glastonbury works and we all know that when we buy a ticket.

Is it worth me reading through the 100 or so pages that I have missed the last few days? Anything new?

Russy thinks it definitely is Florence

Others still think Bowie / Prince

A couple of people complaining

And the rest of us are here for the fun :)

Absolutely. Somewhere in the last 100 pages the 3rd headliner has been mentioned... You've just got to find it.

Let us know your findings.

Russy thought it was definitely The Stone Roses last year :P

Maybe it'll be The Stone Roses this year and Florence next year. I don't think I can make it next year, so I selfishly hope that's the year Flo and Sheeran make the step up. Add Coldplay to that and job's a good 'un

    • He's still got the whole festival period on his tour dates list. The 4th is given as the Mac's Record Label showcase, which was separately announced for that date (obviously it's unlikely Mac would be on a different date to his own project)     I had AdP third down on Woods but Lucinda Williams pulling out and her de facto replacement playing a different day mixed things up, coupled with Ty Segall playing Garden solo last year.

    • Nothing But Thieves was £73 as well. Felt for a while like arena gigs are getting to extreme levels but this is adding to that. I did think there might be more inflation thanks to the latest rise in energy costs and here we are again.
