now, just think how many less rows there'd have been on here if the Bruce obsessives had been honest enough to admit it was dull immediately after he'd played. :P

I did. On here. Unquestionably.

word I've just had that's supposedly sourced via her 'people' says that it's definitely not.I can't guarantee that's true of course, but what I've heard does seem to sensibly fit with other Madge bits and pieces.

Hmmm interesting. I was finally convinced on a headliner. Now I just don't know, p***** seems too good to be true

If it isn't Prince or Radiohead, and Florence doesn't get bumped up then it really will be a shock to me now. I wasn't expecting Radiohead but with the list getting shorter we're running out of possibilities. Stone Roses still make so much sense in a way but it doesn't seem like there's much legs in that one.

Me to but now I'm thinking the person who knows her 'people' isn't as close to her 'people' as they make out :-)

It's still madonna or taylor swift in my eyes

It's my birthday. I remember when The Rolling Stones were announced on my birthday when I was drunk. Now I'm just drunk.

Ha. If i had a diary this would have been my entry for last night.

oh come on now. they're good, but let's not go overboard here. they have a huge cult fanbase but right now i doubt they could do anything more than sub Other - if they were booked to headline against a major Pyramid headliner they'd pull a pitiful crowd. i know their fans on here like to think that they're a band destined for great things, but they'll never be as successful or popular as people believe they will

I love the National but I agree that people saying they're going to progress onto Pyramid headliners are wrong. I think they could headline Other at a push, but you're right in that they'd get a fairly small crowd.

Madonna is one of those mega names that I've never seen so I would be up for her as a headliner BUT I think that girl seen holding hands with Calvin Harris is far more "now" even if she hasn't had a huge string of hits

Plus Madonna is a bit old for you, Martin.

and not one of them in the UK...

i'm not saying they're not big, but Pyramid sub / Other headliner? nah, they just don't have the mass appeal over here to pull that kind of slot off imo

I'm a massive fan of The National - amazing band, brilliant live and could easily headline the Other (they sell out the 02 Arena, Royal Albert Hall, Alexandra Palace, etc) - agree that they don't have the mass/pop appeal for the Pyramid, unless they were to play earlier in the day.

But anyway, I don't think there's much chance of them playing this year - they're headlining the Eaux Claires Festival taking place 17+18th July with Bon Iver (another I'd love to see at Glasto high up the order), which Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon are curating, so just can't see them having time for both that and Glasto this year!

Really hoping we get a poster with lots of names..

I mean I wouldn't mind if we got a 'slither' like last year - but unless all three names aren't all signed and done. Then I think they should just drop the lineup.

Haven't all 3 names been signed and booked for a while now, I'm sure Neil had been feeding that info back go us a while ago
