All seems very strange these different posters coming on here and claiming they know the Roses are headlining, unless they are all the same person......

Oh balls to it I have also got my hopes up, sunday headliners will be The Stone Roses.

In these post-Kanye times it feels unlikely that it'll be either T-Swizz or Rihanna - so I can see why either Blur or the Stone Roses would make sense from the perspective of the Eavii.

T-Swizz into The Stone Roses - that's how you book a line up.

It wasnt a whisper. It was a conversation bewtween 2 proffesionals that i (and a few others) happened to be inviolved with.

I want to believe, as the Roses could be a great end to the festival, but there seems to be a steady flow of wind up merchants on this site and I see you just joined today, which seems suspicious

I'd have much more faith in these people who claim to know things if their stories didn't jump all over the place and actually made sense.

In fairness it was the 1st guy that said about being 95% sure if we're talking %'s, I don't think think guy has, just that he's fairly sure it's going to happen. I'm willing to without joining on it say I think there is more chance of The Roses or Blur then there is of Taylor headlining.

do i really have to spell it out to you guys. A conversation between two people, that i was involved with. So that could be many things couldnt it. Like an interview lets say? As for my spelling, well im sorry about that.

Bollocks to the spelling! I'm crossing everything I can that you're right

So it was an interview? And what about this Friday thing that some other chap mentioned? Is it going to be tomorrow?

I'll ask "roses4baggie" the same thing I asked the last guy. If you've heard an interview between Bob Harris and someone who knows what the Stone Roses are doing, why are you only 90% sure. They're either booked or they're not.

Well, I for one would be happy with the Roses having a chance to redeem themselves of their poor live reputation on the big stage (or not). It would, if nothing else, be another interesting headliner to get people talking.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
