Has Bowie been discussed in detail at all? Fits the description Michael Eavis gave last year of "Singer is British, band isn't British anymore" and "been around a long time" perfectly. I know there has been no mention of any tour plans or anything but there is history there and The Next Day came out of the blue with no fanfare or build up. Massive long shot I know.

Sorry if this has already been discussed - couldn't be arsed to read through 872 pages.

it's pretty unlikely if you think about it.

Heh Guys, LIttle heads up about the roses playing. Its going to happen. Believe it.

Im under strong impressions of people i know in the industry the Roses are currently writing and the merch drop date is just the start of a string of announcements.

I've decided I'm going to trust this fellow implicitly.

I think his health issues and long standing retirement from live performing make it rather unlikely I'm afraid.

I agree, it's unlikely but not impossible. I was just wondering if ME comments last year about one of the headliners have now been dismissed? Neither of the current confirmed headliners fit the description nor the ones now being discussed in recent posts as most likely ie. Stone Roses, Blur, Taylor Swift etc.

if he did do a triumphant returning gig I think it would be far more likely to be in madison square garden, or even in central park like simon and garfunkel did than glastonbury.

but there is always hope, even if it is just a tiny shred!

Was this the interview where Emily is supposed to have said that the headliners weren't amongst those heavily rumoured? I honestly don't remember but if so then she doesn't say anything of the sort, merely that they might be amongst the people listed as contenders by William Hill. My life is a lie.

no, it was a different one.

the quote was that they "are the rock headliners this year", or "are the rock act this year".

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
    • Yeah Roy's Tune was lovely. Looking forward to the whole thing hopefully going on iPlayer.   It's scattered dates they have this year really, proper tour/s to come next year - suspect a new single will drop in the next couple of months, providing the album is done.
