Sounds like a hoot. Lineup filling up nicely now. And if we get half of the heavily rumoured acts and acts touring around the time we're in for a cracking festival of music.

The headliner thread genuinely makes me sad. Especially considering theres only one more headliner to be announced.

47SOUL who take "the street music of Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and the Palestinian territories .... into the future with analogue synthesizers and electronic beats, and hyped verses from the four singers."

Thank you, I love world music and this is a new find for me, along with Songhoy Blues the presumed WH line up is looking good already.

Some of my favourite music memories of the festival have been world music acts, in my best ever list over the years Balkan Beat Box, and Ilham Al Madfai (From Iraq) on WH, and Oi Va Voi (With KT Tunstall) at the Avalon. Sweet!

I meanare they sure they're playing WOMAD? - the quote says WOMAD in June

They're on the official line up so I guess so. It says "booked for UK festivals Womad and Glastonbury in June 2015". So could read that 2 ways.

I'm sure i saw Gretchen in 2013 in a sparsly filled Accoustic Tent. She was great,Just what was needed for this tired and battered body on the Sunday afternoon

I was at that. Drinking whisky down the back. Pretty empty alright.

Christy Moore. Friday night Acoustic headliner?

Talked to a guitarist from Wolf Alice yesterday after their Rescue Rooms gig about playing Glastonbury and he said "I don't know - we can't say anything yet." I'm taking that as "yes, but we can't confirm it yet" because if they weren't playing, surely he'd just say no?

There's an extremely convenient gap in their touring schedule too.

My logic is undeniable.

That's good news, was annoyed to miss them last year.

    • Had a lovely day in Prague now off to the festival. Very excited hope we all have fun regardless of weather!!
    • Iran are winning. If US aren't going to do the full invasion thing, then they may as well admit defeat and do what is needed to get the strait opened. Iran obviously have decided they can take any pain and stick it out as they have all the cards with this Hormuz thing. But obviously Trump can't admit defeat, and Israel just want this to keep going...and maybe it will carry on like this till after elections in both US and Israel towards the end of this year. God knows how the global economy will be by then.
    • All kicking off in N Ireland, all aided and abetted on videos that get circulated on social media and Elon Musk and Tommy Robinson telling people to take to the streets. Social media needs regulating same as publishers, if they have algorithms that push whatever to people then they are effectively publishers anyway. The problem is just going to get worse and worse.
    • A lot of acts put him up on their Insta seems to have touched a lot of hearts across the industry, didnt know too much about him but read a bit now seems like great guy
