Yeah, Seetickets re-wotsited a pic Arcade Fire put on their facebook page mentioning Glastonbury and the date so I guess they had to announce it officially rather quickly!

Yeah Arcade Fire tweeted a blackboard photo of their dates during one week in June and Glastonbury was on there. The official site quickly followed about 5 minutes later with a one line announcement :-)

Eugh oh well looks like I'm off to Avalon Friday night then. Sorry for those who like Arcade Fire but I just don't get them. This is one of the good things about glastonbury lots and lots and lots of different things to do (assuming I get tickets)

Can understand their appeal, as they seem to me like a 'Laid-back indie band' to me, and lots of people do like that, it's music, and everyone will have different tastes, I prefer a band i can really 'rock' out to, and have a jump around, and they're just too mellow for me.

Everyone else can have fun though! I'll be somewhere!

i was literally just going to post that link. on albums i suppose they come off a bit laid-back indie but they have waaay more balls live than you'd think.

Oooohhh, I wouldn't say that about them.

They are very energetic, and can really take to the stage like a whirlwind. Especially when they feel like underdogs, like they have something to prove.
