I can see Temples, Eagulls, Drenge and maybe Stealing Sheep though they seem a bit generic indie festival type band. Otherwise I can definitely see SBTRKT making an appearance, as wells as Lizzo, Jungle. Maybe Cashmere Cat, Darlia and Broken Bells. Not a clue about the Sunday headliner.

new image says Sunday headliners will be announced tomorrow at 7pm - headliners, plural, which is interesting, as (to me) it implies two separate acts, either headlining together (a-la Snoop and Dre at Coachella) or co-headliners al-la The Strokes and Pulp at Reading/Leeds rather than just a band / group (or i'm just looking too much in to that 's')

oh i understand your point, i'm just assuming it's one (that way if it's two then it's double trouble)

if it were to be 2 though; The National could well be in with a shout? maybe the xx/sigur ros too. cant think who would be big enough to fit the disco theme rly.

Oh yeah they said that Major Lazer are subbing on Sunday, well remembered. Might throw your theory out the window, FF!

If it is C+S, here's hoping Portishead take the 'Spiritualized' (2012) slot on Sunday night then !

Queens of the Stone Age are exclusive to Download. When The Horrors last played Bestival (2012), it was in the Big Top and they weren't headlining it, so I don't see why they'd be a main stage headliner. The time before that (2009) was in the Big Top in an afternoon slot, to about 30 people.

McBusted it is then.

Or, perhaps they're announcing Sunday night's Main Stage headliner and Big Top or Port headliner, the latter being the official festival-closing act. In recent years the closing acts have been Carl Cox, Orbital, Fatboy Slim and LCD Soundsystem, so I reckon it ought to be the Chemical Brothers' turn.

    • Wednesday is a nice addition imo
    • Kronenberg in a tent as well IIRC but Brooklyn Pilsner was easier to get without queueing and was everywhere across the festival.
    • I think they'll end up doing something due to pressure and bad PR. Maybe they do a discount code for next year or bar credit or something along those lines.    I agree though. I acknowledge that the lineup is huge but surely you can't cancel 33% of the headliners and not reimburse in some way. Their insurance will probably cover their fees for MA, Doja, Bad Gyal and Mac DeMarco due to force majeure.
    • Looks like nothing for weekend ticket holders. You'd expect a goodwill gesture.
    • Enough has been covered about how much of a sh*t show that was, so I'll just say, Massive Attack and it's relationship with this festival (and potentially me) are f**king cursed.    They were announced in 2020 when I first got excited about seeing them. They were subsequently on the poster for 21, 22 and now 26. This time I was in actually in the crowd close to the stage waiting for them twice haha. I give up!
