We finally know all our 2018 headliners, who does everyone think will perform next year? My early predictions are if there are three headliners: - Green Day - With the band not doing many UK festivals the past few years 2019 could be the year they do, potential new album and could see them do RandL and TRNSMT. - Muse - Feel this is most feasible, like Arctic Monkeys, European dates and festivals with a UK tour, surely Muse will be there. - Gorillaz - Won a BRIT, seems like they would suit the festival, maybe not obvious but the booking they would make if they keep the older act demographic. Not many UK festivals this year, feel they could headline next year. If they stick with five the other two could be: - Royal Blood - Up and coming band, no festivals planned in the UK this year, feel they will definitely do RandL next year with TRNSMT potentially. - Noel Gallagher ATHFB - Like Liam this year, I feel he could do a day and be that weaker headliner compared to the rest with a strong undercard. Feels like the type of booking. One that could headline: - Queens of the Stone Age - Don't know if they will do anything next year but not doing a main festival could lead them to headline TRNSMT, would be good but its doubtful. Who does everyone think could headline next year? Thanks, RTDB
Hello! I'm fairly new to the forum, and I was just wondering if there are many Hip-Hop fans on the site, and wanted to gauge any predictions/hopes for any potential Hip-Hop/Grime acts at the festival this year? Also I'd love to hear any fond (or not so fond) memories people have of Hip-Hop at Glasto from previous years? Personally after really hoping Kendrick Lamar would headline this year, I've had to give up on that and pray that the Childish Gambino rumours are true. Saw him at Lovebox last year and he was hands down one of the best performers I've ever seen - real energy, intensity and his vocal performance was on point. I'd love to see Loyle Carner return, as well as some classic Hip-Hop DJ's like DJ Premier and Grandmaster Flash. My favourite previous memory of a Hip-Hop act at Glasto has to be Kanye on the Pyramid Stage (don't shoot me), as I've been a huge fan since 2004, and was right up front for it. Great night!

I do want to go; I just need an incentive. Desirable: Friday - Skrillex, Chase & Status, Rudimental (not my choice - but off the top of my head the only 'Dance' acts who could possibly headline - Disclosure maybe a bit too small at the moment) Saturday - Pixies Sunday - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds or Nine Inch Nails Sad reality: Friday - Rudimental Saturday - The XX Sunday - Dolly Parton Wants - More rock acts, decent names that justify the cost of the ticket/travel costs, wider exposure to more challenging music, return of the Psychedelic Worm, The Black Angels and The Jesus and Mary Chain. Incentives on the part of Wightlink and Red Funnel to make the price of the ferry crossing in a car more affordable. More family/age friendly environment. Don't want's - Radio 1 Playlist Committee Rock like Alt J, Bombay Bicycle Club, Vampire Weekend et al. Wider variety of music after hours and not just Dance music. Less marketable appeal to the Creamfields and Global Gathering crowd. Hipsters.
