By the by, understand why people think that Daft Punk wouldn't be headliners on the pyramid given the tendency to have big dance acts on the Sunday other but if anyone could pull a crowd that would make them Pyramid worthy in the dance music world it'd be Daft Punk. They truly are the Led Zep of dance music.

I don't think you should be allowed to post video of daft punk live until they're definitely gonna play. Literally watched the first 3 seconds of it and had to stop it in case I got over excited. xD

Dont mention Kanye on here! I would tend to agree with you and before you get knocked by anyone, take note that we have just had about 34 pages of why Daft Punks generic electro pop should headline the pyramid.

Kanye hasn't sold out his other UK festival shows either tho ... so I guess it's the case that he's not really festival-suitable as a large ticket seller as things stand.

But cos Glasto doesn't sell on the acts it's in a different position, where they could get Kanye and his inability to shift large numbers of festie tickets wouldn't matter.

The fact that he can't sell large numbers of festie tickets doesn't mean that people wouldn't be interested in seeing him, so there's no reason that him as headliner couldn't be a big success. And it's the perfect platform for him to turn that can't-shift-festie-tickets around.

edit: but having witnessed the big chill show, I suggest that glasto should swerve him. The man is a tosser, and his show is of about the same dodgy quality as Jay-Z, but with none of the charisma.

That may be true but for anyone that saw the Watch The Throne tour you'd agree that he can put in one hell of a show in terms of recognisable hits and getting the crowd going. Also his Coachella performance last year was incredible and highly rated by critics!

The fact that mr E was trying to get Adele (source: lots of news stories in May saying she had turned it down) suggests, at least to me, that we are all going to be surprised by the headliner choices.

In the recent poll I voted Arcade Fire, Stone Roses, Rolling Stones, but it would be interesting to see just how wrong I end up being. :)

Eavis on 6 music news says he's trying to get the one act who haven't played, who everyone knows who they are but he doesn't want to say their name as it confuses things. So the Stones then, he made it sound as though negotiations where on going.
