Here are my predictions at this vague point in time for the festival circuit 2013:

Glasto: Radiohead, Killers, Rolling Stones

IOW: Stone Roses, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Aerosmith

HRC: Elton John, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones (or Neil Young, depending if Glasto is a one off for the Stones)

Download: Paramore, Tool, KISS

V Fest: Gaga, Red Hot Chilli Peppers

T in the Park: Watch the Throne, Green Day, Prodigy

Latitude: Kraftwerk, the XX, Bloc Party

R/L: Biffy Clyro, Prodigy, Blur

Bestival: Arcade Fire, Morrissey, Daft Punk

I don't think it particularly means anything, especially not headliners wise. I don't see any reason to expect them to play really, I'm not even sure it would be logistically possible for them to play, unless they played really early on somewhere.

On a similar note, an act who are probably more likely, Sigur Ros, are touring in March.

Oh yeah, obviously if it was Cardiff to London or something it'd look more likely, would they really be that likely to headline anyway?! I was taking the mick a bit really sarcastic.gif

Would love to see Sigur Ros play! I struggle to see where they'd go though seeing as they're playing Brixton etc. Subbing Pyramid rather than headlining Other Stage?

too small for either of them nowadays I reckon, and too obscure for the pyramid I reckon.

I'd see them as a JP tent headliner nowadays, or perhaps a Park headliner.

Eavis on 6 music news says he's trying to get the one act who haven't played, who everyone knows who they are but he doesn't want to say their name as it confuses things. So the Stones then, he made it sound as though negotiations where on going.

What if that band is Led Zep, but for a one off show. If Eavis let it slip that it was Led Zep and now with the countdown people would automatically presume a full blown reunion and tour, hence where the confusion would arise. One can dream anyway.

I've seen a couple of people mention The Eagles, what are the chances? And would Springsteen do it again, I know he headlined in 2009 but would he consider doing the festival but not as a headline act? I can dream can't I?

small to non-existent, i'd guess.

Michael told me that he enquired about the Eagles a few years ago, and they were too expensive (they presumably wanted their normal fee). I can't really see why anything would change with this.

Love it that the excitement is starting already!

Never too early, efestivals is the only place to really feel the buzz 10 months before! My favourite site.

So I said it somewhere last year but I'm still sticking to my guns.

Friday - Radiohead

Saturday - Stones

Sunday - Lady Gaga

I've contacted Paddy Power who are currently putting odds together for me. I'm not a gambler but going to put my money where my mouth is.

Anyone got any insight as to why these are awful suggestions to save me loosing my house on a hunch?

Looking forward to the next 10 months of speculation / excitement / arguing / falling out / meeting new friends.

Life wouldn't be the same with out good old efestivals.

Thank you Neil and everyone else.

Come on June 2013!!!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
