Dizzee won't headline. If he's to play he'll sub. I can't think of anything he's done since subbing in 2010 and for the festival to book D.R it'd be a weak booking. After a decent new album he'll deserve it though.

Arctic Monkeys, The Rollling Stones and Mumfords are the headliners for me.

No maybe hunch was the wrong word, more like... I think we know, but we don't want to think that we know. This is where people set their expectations really high and then get disappointed when they realise that they knew the truth all along. Il guess we will see.

I may be stupid but is this because tickets didn't sell out in 2008?

Again it might be a stupid question but do other festivals have the same problem? Reading, V amongst others often don't sell out do they?

It's always possible that Michael looked unwell for reasons other than his worries around the ticket sale - I don't know his personal medical history. But I took it as being caused by the slow sales.

I'd guess that sales worry other 'head honchos' of big fests but perhaps not to the same extent. Glastonbury is very much a personal venture of Michael's rather than there being some company behind things that he merely works for, and along with that it's all intregal to his true love of his farm.

I'm not sure if he's risking the farm with each festival or not nowadays, but if he is then I'm sure that will have hugely increased his worries.

I highly doubt Eavis still puts up personal money for Glastonbury still. I assume Glastonbury Festivals Limited is a social enterprise, with tax breaks etc, which would mean all loans are against a company rather than a person.

but it's a company that essentially doesn't have an assets - it's an exceedingly bad risk loan on that basis.

The company that runs efestivals has assets of (just) above £5k, but I was required to give a 'personal guarantee' (making me, and not the company, ultimately liable) in order for my bank to give me a £5k overdraft facility.

I doubt that any bank nowadays is giving out £15M on a totally unsecured basis.

Back on topic, it seems that chat about Atoms for Peace not being ready for Glastonbury was b/s. They're playing in Poland the week after Glastonbury.

Bearing in mind they've not been announced for other UK festivals, it surely has to be fairly high probability of them doing a Park secret set, or a fairly high spot somewhere else?

It also pretty much rules out Radiohead from headliners.
