This is a great one, 90mb! https://storage.googleapis.com/p-oaf-ibe-back-00e-strapi-uploads/.ImageGallery/2023/Pléiades Neo - Glastonbury festival.jpg?fbclid=IwAR1Mr-JUooclt-p43B8oBkAWFL87vg46Rc8QkPeqKsFayNlC4Ae_e9NKOvY12 points

Excellent! In 2017 we were passing back through the Unfair Ground late on Friday night when one of the “carney” girls ushered us over to her fair game. The game was to throw a crushed can into a tiny slot which surprisingly I managed to get it in (in my state). She quickly rummaged through a draw then pulled me over the counter and softly whispered in my ear “here’s your prize, it’s a cast of Michael Eavis’s asshole”9 points

Well you could keep a lenor bottle by the side of your bed. Or wake up needing a pee but wait till the last moment and then rush to get dressed, with wellies and run to your bathroom. Buy some expensive food and pop it in a small cardboard container and believe it's a proper meal. Leave some cans out to warm up then drink them at 11 in the morning. Find a set you want to see on TV then get some mates around to take a load of coke and talk all the way through it Neck some laxatives then go somewhere crowded and try and get to a toilet. Arrange to be somewhere great, but actually be somewhere not so good and remember the good thing nearly when finishes. Get a branch from nearby tree and whittle a spoon. Buy old forks then spend an hour fashioning them into a mobile. Get friends to link hands and keep walking past you whilst some stand on your feet. Pop to the park and mutter w*nkers under your breath to anyone on a blanket. Get a friend to dress in a leotard and recite crap poetry Monday find a car tailback and join the end Walk around your house muttering it's not as good as it used to be.7 points

Unpopular opinion. I'm old and I love Kylie, she's a national treasure. Can't wait to see her at Sziget. But, I would still have preferred The Killers, No Doubt, RHCP, Maneskin, even Catfish and the Bottlemen. Because live music is all about music being played live, by musicians who laboured for months to write the perfect song and are now getting the chance to share it with thousands of people, who are in awe of the skill and ability on display that they don't possess themselves. There are JUST enough acts announced across all stages to ensure I'll have a pretty decent Sziget. But it is absolutely the last time I buy tickets without seeing the line-up first.6 points

Nothing will ever top my sheer shock when Macca said "and from the East coast of America.. Bruce Springsteen!" Hadn't even considered it as a possibility and we basically cried.6 points

Look at me go................. I might be on holiday but here is the updated clashfinder. Extra act every day on The Meadow so guessing it opens earlier. Woodland also has an extra act Fri and Sun so times taken from Saturday. CODA is total guesswork apart from the comedy. As and when I get more info I will update it. https://clashfinder.com/s/beardedtheory20246 points

So one of my friends won the Chilly’s competition! Her + 5 friends. Her and her partner already had tickets but her other 4 guests didn’t so she’s done well there!6 points

Whisper it, but there’s a few predictions of high temperatures and long dry spells from mid May through to July. Also temperatures looking better towards the end of next week. Hopefully in time for the build to get really going.🤞😊5 points

Went for a wander today and it has indeed! No sign of workers today so they’ve done this in 2 days which is impressive.5 points

Well, I think it’s clever! And fair. How much do you want to go to Glastonbury? It’s actually better than it sounds… By doing Shindig you’re essentially securing your Glasto place for THIS YEAR AND NEXT YEAR because you’ll have priority for next year too! Alternatively choose any two other festivals this year and get priority for Glasto next year.5 points

I've heard Brian Fallon from Gaslight tell this story multiple times on podcasts. He had never met Bruce before, but Bruce is his favourite artist of all time. The band rocked up to go on stage, and Bruce was just stood there, and said hello. Brian freaked out, and Bruce asked "can I play on that song The 59 Sound?" and Brian was like uhhh yes please. Or so the story goes. I'm not sure if he's omitted a section of the story where Bruce asks for 10 grand to play with them - but what I do know if Brian talks about it as maybe the best moment of his life, as he had no indication Bruce had heard of the band. Of course he went on to appear with Bruce to sing No Surrender that night, and it's safe to say there's a lot more in it for Gaslight than Bruce when it comes to exposure!5 points

So an artist I don't care about drops from Thursday and now we might get someone better that will make Thursday's clashes even harder??? Oh no...5 points

Lots of negativity on here. Festival veteran from Glastonbury, Life Is Beautiful in Vegas, T in the Park and many others. Loved Sziget last year seeing Amyl and the Sniffers and Sleaford Mods. Looking forward to Four Tet, Kylie and Fontaine's DC this year. Were in a group of aging over 40 plus and it's all about having a carry on with your pals. Music makes it better.4 points

if you like bland generic electro DnB ish EDM music, thats sounds almost like the same song being played in almost every part of the site - after hours, you're going to be in for a massive treat4 points

I have no competition updates other than I’m drunk and hoping for an Efest win….love you guys!!!4 points

I noticed that. I had to go back and clang it or it just didn't feel right. "If you long drop and there is no clang, did you even drop long?"4 points

Overall, i think its the best line up in years, and one of the best festival line up in the UK this year.4 points

Okay, I have nothing against Kiley, but I cannot stress that enough, that we don’t have any bands as headliner. More so, not even as a subheadliner. Looking at all the bands touring around in August, it’s a disgrace.4 points

Oh but I'm sure Phew will clash as well. 😉 https://www.primaverasound.com/en/artist/phew4 points

I prefer to live in a land of make believe where I can day dream about how I'd deal with minor little clashes only to be crushed by the harsh reality of choosing between my 2 favourite acts when the real timetable is actually announced.4 points

Hi there. We got Oxfam places in 2019 and again last year having failed to get tickets in the main sale and resale. Both years we got them long after the first spots went up. In 2019 (and this is no exaggeration) we literally had the Oxfam Festivals page open on our PCs all day during working hours for about 4 weeks in the May, just constantly refreshing the page. We managed to get 6 spaces during those 4 weeks. Last year Oxfam announced on their socials on 28th April (I checked back over my groups whatsapp messages :)) that they would be releasing some more stewarding places on the following Tuesday. The following Tuesday rolled around and they were gone within about 45 seconds. We refreshed the page constantly for the rest of the day and we finally got the 2 spaces we needed at about 3pm. So ... check their socials daily for announcements, you never know. And if there is another release of spaces be very prepared and even if there is a sold out message DON'T GIVE UP !!!! Failed payments can and do happen and the spaces will become available again. Best of luck .... I really hope it happens for you. Having been in your shoes those 2 times I feel your pain but persevere and be prepared to lose hours / days to this and hopefully it will pay off for you.4 points

Get out of here with your facts, we need 300 pages of speculation and theories to decide if it's going to be muddy or not.4 points

He dreamed of going, would watch it on tv every year and never got to (we were going to do it the year I didn’t get tickets but he passed away before we could go/get them in the resale) so I thought maybe doing a plant or something means in some way he’s always there.4 points

Re Chinese bots. Did that definitely happen? I've seen no evidence that happened. Is that just random speculation? genuine question. Re. being allocated a place in a queue - will that be less fair, as in people will utilise bots/vpns to have a million devices attempting to join a queue at the same time? (forgive my lack of technical speak/knowledge) Re. it favouring big groups - yes, but that's part of the determination/effort surely? None of us actually know 70 people who are going, but spending time connecting with friends of friends, joining facebook groups/forums to increase your group size....yeah that's a huge ballache to do, but that's part of why the current system is the least worst, no? It rewards ballache!4 points

We wont know what the weather for gates open will be until the Monday of the festival. Maybe Sunday before. And we won't know what the weather for Saturday/Sunday of the festival will be until we're actually on site. But that doesn't stop people starting threads a year in advance. As for the info, in a few weeks someone will open the gates of Broadmoor and Rampton and give the escapees internet access to a weather forecasting model for them to post on here in between meals where they eat their family members spleens.4 points

I understand why you would feel more comfortable with that but the reality is that's not how it works. You can see that clearly from the fact that it doesn't cut both ways. There are many Israelis who don't care at all about what happens to the people of Palestine, and are very much Islamophobic. Yet in the immediate aftermath of 7 October, very few people were saying "this is a travesty, but we need to acknowledge Palestine deserves to exist and Gaza has been treated very badly by Israel." And those that did were (rightly I think at that point) called out, it really not being the time. Because generally, most people who just don't want people dying, will deal with the immediate tragedy in front of them. Right now, that's the genocide happening in Gaza. On 7 October, it was the terrorist attack in Israel. That people want these things to stop, or are reacting to them, doesn't mean they don't acknowledge the overall situation is more complicated than that. (And there will also be people there who absolutely don't believe in Israel's right to exist, and that doesn't mean they hate Jewish people either)4 points

Need Blur to realise they shouldn't end the tour at Coachella and do a quick Churnup at Glasto.4 points

Well I think Kylie is still a bit more relevant with her ongoing renaissance, and being an icon(once again) for younger generation queer people. And to me she is just more legend status than Fifty in general, but I guess that’s personal preference3 points

Thank you! Now I know the full info.. the most exciting part is that they've got 5 family members coming, all 5 will be first timers who are obviously very excited... but for us it's amazing too as they'll be camping with us and I love nothing more than showing people around their first Glastonbury, just watching the amazement on their face. Can't wait.3 points

late at night they very definitely fill a hole , not everyone is wanting the hugely busier SEC and similar , Iconic sing along anthems bring something different , lift those headphones and look at the smiles around you . they just bring such fun , a few hours after seeing more live bands is brilliant either that or im happy seeking a bar or 2 with some cheese playing .3 points

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but Kylie Minogue as a headliner would be awful, wouldn't make sense on any level3 points
