Primavera Sound 2026

First thoughts for me. Not so impressed by the headliners, actually not at all.

Maybe the only name that really fits my music taste is the XX.

That said the subs and overall program is high quality as usual. Slowdive and MBV are really a great touch.

So, another great lineup, although i’m not so sure this will sell that well and fast as the last edition. I can see some people holding on for other festivals to start releasing some artists.

One thing is sure. Whoever is going will have a great time as usual.

Tad underwhelmed by that.. Much better than last couple years, but not enough to tempt us for what would undoubtedly be an expensive trip. Was expecting Tame Impala and David Byrne. Massive Attack will be great, but saw them twice last year and their sets are identical so I'm not that desperate to see them anymore.

All eyes on Down the Rabbbit hole and Rock Werchter for me. Enjoy though guys! 🙂

Will not sell out as fast as 2025, if it sells out at all.

Although I could be completely wrong, cause Rock en Seine has already sold out their day tickets with just The Cure announced.

The Cure shift serious amounts of tickets, so it depends if their fans plump for weekend or just day tickets. I think their day will sell out but I don't think the weekend tickets will be as much of a bloodbath as last year.

Maybe that is why they announced so early, since The Cure seem to be everywhere and people will have a ticket for one festival to watch them by the end of October.

can we expect in porto?

- big thief, ethel cain, father john misty, gorillaz, kneecap, little simz, lola young, mac demarco, massive attack, peggy gou, role model, the xx

i think they might get the 3 headliners to be honest.

Cure , Massive Attack and Gorillaz

logistically doesnt make much sense for the cure to be in spain and they return 1 month later to NOS Alive

Yes, surely. And The Cure + Massive Attack + My Bloody Valentine were probably booked a year ago so there was no reason to wait.

Could they add an extra headline act? Absolutely. The Tame Impala suggestion makes a lot of sense (although they're there so often that maybe they just decided to skip this time), but I don't think this looks like it has any major gaps, really.

Strong line up, good headliners, good undercard, I reckon.

Do we know who is playing on Wednesday?

Seems like they've not announced that: "This lineup announcement officially kicks off the race to Primavera Sound Barcelona 2026, which will hold its main days from 4th to 6th June. And there will also be the opening day on Wednesday..."

this!  definitely more of a return to 'classic' Primavera, good mix up of headliners but dissapointed that we have a repeat of Gorillaz & no David Byrne

some great undercard names as usual, Knocked Loose are going to be awesome
