Haven't Fontaines played like 4 out of the last 5 festivals?

2019, 2022, 2024.

I get your point but include next year and there's three years with no festivals in there as well.

It's still gonna depend on the timing of the next record for them and Glastonbury, I think.

Tell you now Leeds headliners always play year before Glasto.

Raye 27 nailed on.

You might want to check the history of that. For a long time it was the opposite way round but hasn't been for a couple of years. I would say though one of the female headliners is very likely for Glastonbury 2027.

In my mind right now I'm thinking something along these lines

One of Fontaines D.C., Sam Fender, Olivia Dean, Raye

One of Oasis, Radiohead, Foo Fighters

One of Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Harry Styles

Harry/Radiohead/Chappell makes the most sense to me personally

Exciting, new acts, duh. Gaga, Kraftwerk and Public Enemy.

Kraftwerk and PE ain’t for the Pyramid

If available Gaga is the biggest “no brainer” booking around.

Ideally Gaga, Eminem with Dre, Snoop etc and you can have some dull act if you need.

Problem for me with this would having to spend two headliners at the Pyramid. Eminem etc would be better suited to the Other, Kraftwerk and PE, West Holts.

The other option is to go completely “off piste” and book the likes of Blessed Madonna and Kylie or Honey Dijon

Imagine the fume from the “picnic blanket posse” and loads on here.

😂

The Clash, Tupac & Freddy Mercury fronted Queen -

Interesting idea for a thread - pick three headliners that are passed/not possible.

I'd go with Nirvana, Nina Simone & Jeff Buckley. Legend slot, Janis Joplin. not choosing Bowie only because he's done it.

But for 2027, I think we're all leaning in the right direction.

not who i *want* but if I had to bet, I'd say Sam Fender, Radiohead and Olivia Dean

I’ve thought about this a lot, but a whole lineup for Pyramid, Other, WH.

It’s brutally hard, mainly because I can’t imagine some of the acts accepting such low slots.

Jimi Hendrix has to feature, as does Michael Jackson

As far as the no longer with us goes, feels like Queen with Freddie, Beatles and Elvis have to be up there, no? Maybe Elvis in a legend slot.

For 2027, my initial guess was Fender, Foos and Gaga. I'm sticking with that for now. I don't think Oasis will do it - I reckon they'll do their own shows instead. Could see Styles instead of Fender, mind.

Bruno Mars new album announced. But I dont think Emily has enough in the bank to pay off his  gambling debts. He fits all the criteria. But im sure itll be seen as a cheap novelty act. Then he will have 4 sold out nights at Wembley and youll re consider.

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
