I know it’s dedicated entrances, but surely if you wanted out of the front pit, and back into general it wouldn’t be an issue? Previously it’s been a wristband so you can come and go, use the food vans & bars etc

It will be wristband. Not going to have bars, food and loos in the front pit.

Can't imagine they can do it any other way in a park.

Not sure how this will ease safety vs allocating front pit wristbands first come first serve. Oasis crowds will be in pubs as the doors open.

Really annoyed by this, was looking forward to getting there early, and it being the one gig where you're not stuck with a seated ticket, and now it's just lottery.

Wonder if they add anything similar to the stadium standing

Whatever happened to queueing early?

Wembley 2000 was such a vibe for 15-year-old me. Lots of people soaking up the sun and singing along to the PA etc. as soon as the doors opened, everyone sprinted to the pit to get our wristbands.

Anyone got a copy of this pit email? I've not seen/heard anything.

What on earth are they playing at!?

Hello,

Important information about your event...

The Event Organisers have asked us to pass on the following information:

The Safety Advisory Group for the Heaton Park shows have divided the concert arena into two areas: a general admission area and a front standing area each with a dedicated ticket and entry gate issued in advance. This is to ensure fan safety and improve the fan experience whilst entering the site.

All general admission ticketholders are being given the opportunity to opt in to gain access to the front standing area. If the number of opt-in requests exceeds availability, tickets will be allocated at random from the pool of applicants.

Please click on the link HERE to opt in if you wish to request tickets in the front standing area. The opt in link is valid and open now until noon on 30th May. Once the opt-in window closes, you'll receive a follow-up notification no later than 20th June confirming your allocated area and gate entry information. Please note that opting in applies to your whole order (you can’t split up tickets).

If you’re happy to stay in the general admission area, you don’t need to do anything.

So hang on, is it just See sending these and not Ticketmaster?

Even more bizarre, unless I have that wrong.

Lad who got mine hasn't had an email. Feel like we got them from Gigsandtours (See) but I can't even remember

apparently, you can only enter your assigned section so front bit will have bars and loos, not going to lock out those punters from spending £9.80 a pint.

So if you do get a pass for the golden circle at the front, you must be able to move back and forth to the rest of the main standing, bars etc surely?

The way they mention separate entrances and the wording of the email makes it sound like they'll be two separate areas.i assume it'll be different to previous times and the front will have its own bars and toilets.

Are you sure this is right? Having been there before it’s hard to see how they could have a separate area of bars/toilets/food for the 20k or so people in the front pit?

A friend of mine has got two hospitality tickets for Heaton 12th, these tickets say they’ve got access to designated bar & toilets, and he’s still had the opt in option email which suggests he must be able to come and go from the front pit?

Hmm it's a weird one. The email mentioned separate entrances, though yeah it does sound like from the hospitality thing it'll all be connected when you get in

They have to give proper wristbands to people, if they go with the paper ones there'll be so many being ripped off people's wrists if they can go out to the main section.

I still don't think this'll stop people from jumping the barriers, but maybe if people know they cant queue it'll take some of that emotion out the way that makes them do it?

Either way, it'll be carnage and I'm hugely regretting choosing Manchester over Wembley when I could've just got some amazing lower tier seats near the stage considering how quick I got on in the pre sale. The experience at Heaton Park is horrible, but we were banking on being able to queue for the front.

Yeah, it seems like a real shame they’ve done it this way. People will be going in groups, and won’t want to be split up. First come first served is much better.

We much further on with setlist yays and nays?

I have a thing where for certain tours/gigs I'll completely avoid looking at setlists before the show I'm attending, which can be difficult at times, but I put a lot of effort into doing so. I think it's gonna be pretty tough trying to avoid it up until the first Wembley gig on 25th July, from the first Cardiff one at the start of that month. I only have Facebook so that won't be too difficult to delete for a while, but the challenge will be on TV or WhatsApp. I may just fully 90s it and revert to an old phone for a bit in the build up. You can guarantee the first set they do will be pretty much the same for the whole tour. I am adamant I don't want to see it at all.

Shooting Stars, Buzzcocks, some old Match of the Days the night before that Wembley gig. Read an old NME on the train on the way down. Yes please.

I think I can just make it a week to Manchester without social media of any kind.

Ideal situation would be to get to night 1 but the hotel situation in Cardiff and it's horrendous geographical location means even if I got a ticket I wouldn't have anywhere to stay

its gonna be 95% of the last tour with them unearthing a couple of songs they havent done in ages and thats it. If they actually wanted to be interesting they have a song they rotate out every night to keep it fresh.

still wondering when a warm up gig will pop up. Cant expect Cardiff to be the true start.

Where would they do a warm-up show? Any region they’ve potentially missed out on?

Back in 2002, I managed to get tickets for their show at Watford Colosseum - via a phone call. What a night that was!

Can see the set looking somewhat like that gig but with a Lyla, Songbird and boring Noel ones thrown in? https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/oasis/2002/watford-colosseum-watford-england-6bd0c2be.html

yeah I'd imagine Noel could do some rotating as he's done so many of his ones over the past few years

Yeh it isn't easy. I stayed on a car park in my brothers campervan for Billy Joel last year 🤣 cracking city to be in before a gig, though!
