Can I ask where you got the info about the pitch split at Edinburgh? Ticketmaster is still showing just one area of General Admission from what I can tell and no info via emails etc

When I was attempting to get my friends tickets however as I say initially it also showed just one GA standing but was sold out it wasn't until a bit later on that i went back on as I kept running into the errors/seats already reserved issues and seen standing had re-appeared but they only had available for back standing and had it split with the front being sold out, hence my confusion.

Interesting, OK thanks. I managed to get General Admission standing about 3 or 4 weeks ago in the mini production-hold resale and it all appeared as a single area then, so I was just curious. I'm going on the third night at least so hopefully will have some idea after the weekend shows have panned out at least

Nice! Also the Tuesday I'm going, should be a belter! aye I suspect especially with it being a stadium & the logistics of splitting standing for bars/toilets etc. if there is actually any front area it'll be a queue/wristband/first come first served sorta thing and then come & go freely.

I haven’t received any communication from Ticketmaster about sections for the 12th. Should I be worried? The qr codes on the app just say general admission, so I’m not sure if that means I wasn’t successful.

there has to be by law now I think for a stadium? No way are they letting Oasis have a full pitch of standing without a barrier either way. In a stadium there'll be so many jumping it, it'll be absolute chaos

Managed to get front allocated for our group of four.

Been listening to radio X oasis a bit, flicking between that and radio 6 when something's not grabbing me on there. I can't wait for Champagne Supernova. Would love Round are way and she's electric too, but can't see it..

Knowing Oasis the set list won't change much for the tour. I have Cardiff 2nd night seated, so am going to try my best not to see what the setlist is, then off to Heaton Park a week later. Can't believe this is happening, it's come round quick since the shambles of a sale that reminded me of the Glastonbury 2004 ticket sale. Mad fer it, anyway

9 of us going to Wembley, 2 of us having seating and the rest standing. Hoping to get hold of standing tickets.

I’ve seen things about Ticketmaster not allowing resales until 10 days before the gig.

Would it be worth staying up until midnight 10 days before the gig and checking Ticketmaster or does it not work like that?

Stone Roses had no barrier at Wembley, quite unbelievably.

Anyone see their official social media account posts encouraging people who can’t make the gigs to sell via Twickets? Great plan and advice but given the ‘situation’ with inflated prices last year, telling fans to ‘do the right thing’ seems a little misjudged?

Not sure a lot of people even consider it generally, but it's possible.

It all comes down to the promoter and venue coming to an agreement on such things. There are no "laws" except complying to the fire marshal code. If the venue can hold so many people and they sell that many tickets then theyre in compliance. If they feel there needs to be a split in the standing area then they do that. If not, no requirement. It could only be shut down if things go south anyway.

If theres jumping in Cardiff then youre going to get a very fast change in policy. I am sure theyre going to announce youll get arrested and ejected from the stadium. Who wants to take the chance if they beef up security?

at this rate the fans will be the ones who ruins the gigs and not the brothers fighting with each other. Imagine that.

I've seen stadium gigs that haven't had crowd barriers in the past. You'd think it was a standard procedure though tbf.

I'm hugely regretting going to the first night at Manchester because I can 100% see the fans ruining that one. However much security they think they need, double it

I haven't for a few years now, only times I do see a full pitch without one is when there's a ramp that naturally splits the crowd anyway, like Coldplay.

Liam Gallagher had one for the Etihad, and that wasn't remotely crazy. You'd expect they know it's needed to avoid crushing for these Oasis ones

The split can't be 50/50 surely? I was fine with the ballot if it was a small golden circle area like at the Pyramid, but if its 50/50 and half the crowd who have paid full price for tickets (and some even more with the dynamic pricing) are relegated to the back half of the field then that seems..a bit sh*t.

Its hard to tell because all the success stories are over the 5 nights, but I've seen enough situations where groups are pretty evenly split to make me think it'll be bigger than usual. All anecdotal though.

I honestly think if they'd kept it first come first served it'd have been fine, most people don't even realise it's possible in my experience , and most stay in the pub all day rather than queue anyway.

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
