but the security was utterly hapless when people started coming through.

No event security force in the world can stop hundreds of people if they want to go over the barrier. Just a fact. If enough people try it no amount of barriers or people in high vis vests will matter.

Yeah I'm thinking it'll be WAY bigger this time, multiple lines of security. The way they mentioned the health and safety in the email shows that they know what to expect, though whether security will be good enough to stop it I don't know.

Calling it now, night 1 in Manchester will have to be suspended during the first song for a few minutes to calm the crowd down.

Itll be simple, you have a giant 10 meter gap between the back of golden circle and front of ga standing with guards and if anyone tries to jump they will be kicked out of the venue. that should be the warning given.

Another of the reasons I'm hugely regretting Manchester, especially the first night. In all the excitement I forgot that it's Manchester...

No front standing for us, guessing Ticketmaster aren't bothering sending out rejection ones like See are but I'm aware the Ticketmaster emails were sent out earlier.

Absolute mess really, our group is split, and more generally if I'd known that you couldn't queue to get in the front bit, I'd have used my pre sale code to get the best seats possible at Wembley. So annoyed, and likely to end up spending on the surge priced resale tickets to go to Wembley so I can actually have a chance of seeing and hearing them.

Though I've just thought another alternative is to make use of Twickets in the days leading up to the Manchester gig, as people will specify if its front standing there. And it'd be ideal if Ticketmaster change the labelling for resale ones

In this way on safety grounds.

just making sure cause i snagged my friends standing tickets for Cardiff opening night and if I missed an email about the same thing i might get my head cut off. But i guess they assume the worst people show up for Heaton.

still waiting for the warm up gig post glasto. Come on now!!

What is this extra ticket allocation

Heaton Park is splitting it up and made it a ballot for getting Goldenn Circle or just Standing. So emails went out today. The Oasis sub is full of folks in shambles and ready to jump the barriers.

That's a bit of a joke for people who didn't get in. No one had ever turned Heaton Park into Golden Circle before.

General at heaton. Sell?

Honestly? You'll probably manage to sort a front standing in the days before the gig. That's my plan. The hysteria has died down and surge pricing ones are sticking on Ticketmaster now for more than a few minutes. There'll be the usual flood of tickets including face value ones in the days before
