I think they only chose enough numbers to allow everyone to get a ticket on pre sale, though not necessarily for their preferred date. Let's see who's right!! I hope it's you...

I got a presale code at 4pm. I got through instantly at 7 for the 1st Fri at Heaton Park. It told me that I wasnt able to buy for that date.

I pressed back & went tried again, wouldnt let me, it said I was a bot. Tried every weekend date... "Suspiscious activity" was all it said

Tried for the Wednesday.. No problem. 2000 in the queue wait & success. As if my code was only valid for the Wedneaday at Heaton Park.

A facebook friend had a similar experience, but he could only get the final Sunday at Heaton. I do wonder if your code locked you into specific dates, as if to spread the sales around more evenly? That might be circumstantial evidence though.

Hmmm. Definitely possible that happened to me.

I was trying for the weekend dates in Edinburgh but there was no waiting room available - only for Tuesday the 12th.

After I'd clicked into the weekend dates numerous times looking for a waiting room it eventually decided I was a bot and suspended my session.  I'm still locked out this morning.

Was only trying for pals so not the end of the world personally, but still annoying.

Another friend did get through and - this is where the shenanigans start - only 'premium' standing packages were left - which seems to just be the same as the other GA standing tickets just with a free gift.  But cost £65 more.

I'm guessing the 'free gift' isn't worth 65 quid... They should all be standard standing tickets with the option to add the premium at checkout.

not that optimistic I will be able to get tickets but thinking to try either London or Manchester. I was in the golden ring for Blur in Wembley but can anyone share how is it in the back or way back of standing area or even seating on level 1 or 2? and also how is the venue in Heaton Park if anyone experience recently in terms of view, sound, crowded and etc..

thanks

Unless I'm mistaken it seems like it's all standing tickets - no golden ring. Maybe I'm wrong.

Saw Oasis 2009 & Roses 2012 there.

No paid golden circle (but there are different prices here. I wonder if that'll change?)

1st in gets a wristband. I got 1 for the Roses.

It's pretty flat & the sound isnt the best if you are too far back.

The toilets were a shambles.

The bar was ransacked & people just robbing everything. Standard locals I am afraid (before anyone accuses... I can walk home!)

Traffic situation is not great. My tip would be to get a hotel in Bury. Much easier to get away in the other direction.

Ta! Would love a see tickets one if anyone has too. This 8am sales has properly thrown off the 9am. Can't access anything to get ready and sign in

Think in hindsight it was a pretty terrible idea. UK people obviously all tried for Dublin tickets as well with queues of up to 500K

    • Came here to post that.   Not based on any info, can just see it happening.
    • I'm not sure about the entrance but it wouldn't be a surprise to find the festival have secured use of the land from Steanbow who own it for either new CV space, or for authorised off-site camping as they did with Worthy View.  An authorised off-site pitch-your-own with decent facilities priced just below WV would fly off the shelves as an option.
    • Burnham needs to hold onto his seat , plus needs labour to hold onto all those other seats that could go Reform, so I think some blue labour stuff might stay...and it will be back to the tactic of hoping enough left/liberal voters will get behind labour and not go Green in order to stop a Reform govt...obviously wasn't working with Starmer, but might with Burnham if he shows enough leg. Have to see, Burnham is going from a cushty job where he's very popular and seen as successful to probably the most difficult job going, prime minister of this country...and his popularity might not last long when people realise he can't fix all the problems over night. What he can do is give a sense of direction and optimism which is badly needed, but he will also be faced with a whole bunch of nasty trade offs and could be where Starmer is now in a matter of months.
    • Yep, The Cure and The xx are the two most painful misses for me this year. The Cure literally plays at every corner, except the one I attend to.
