Someone posted he was playing the rabbit hole a long time ago. There was also more solid sources saying he was playing on Saturday (efestivals had him as tba) and someone else had info he was playing in a tent, so there was a limited number of possibilities

I was standing on the far right, and people were able to walk inside the tent there midway through the set. There was a few leaving when they started and after a few songs, there was clearly quite a few hoping it was Green Day or someone else

No idea who, but after Billie Eilish (I think, slight chance it was after Macca) we were staying in the pyramid field when everyone walked out. Suddenly 2-3 guys walked past (they walked pretty quickly) followed by 2 security guys. No idea, but kinda got the vibes that they might have been very famous 😂

I really want to see Turnstile, but also Jack White. Considering how rammed the Park was for Wet Leg, I think I’m just gonna ignore Jack White. It’s gonna be a mess unless you are more than 1h early.

We had loads of space in the middle of the field. Went to the toilets and back during the set, and it was pretty crowded on the way.. but not that crazy on the right hand side

Would have to be tomorrow if anything, as they are playing elsewhere today. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Wolf Alice (just a guess)

They were just taking the piss, there was a few hoping it was Green Day playing the slots IDLES were playing. A lot of people left when they came on, they went on to introduce themselves as Green Day and did a few lines of Basket Case

And she usually bring out some guests. At Coachella she had Damon Albarn doing some Gorillaz stuff one weekend and Hayley Williams doing a Paramore song the other weekend. Harry Styles would make sense.

It was pretty well known it was the killers by that time. I was there for Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, they were one of my must sees anyway. Frank Carter wanted a circle pit with people going out and around the tent, but some went out and never came back in. I remember him joking about the front rows are now the Killer fans only. It was very well known by that time. I’m not a massive the Killers fan, but that set was something else.

His son was playing in 2019 iirc. There is also footage of him on site from 2019

Definitely wishful thinking.. but is it really impossible based on logistics? Do they really need the full stage production and all the regular equipment for a surprise set at a much smaller stage? Also max 1h compared to the 2h they usually do. IIRC they had a similarly packed schedule when they played a secret set at Reading 2012, but I think they had a day off either before or after.

There is usually 2 TBA slots at Williams Green. There was 2 this year on lineup drop too, but one got removed

He was not on the lineup drop. You can see it from the screenshot in the tweet from 2017 (had to check if I was going insane or not) - Listed as a TBA on Saturday on the Other Stage. They added a few names + a final poster 2 weeks later, including Liam.

Right. And Vampire Weekend (although already on the lineup elsewhere) at the Park last year. And then Radiohead/Thom York/Biffy Clyro/Franz Ferdinand++ in like 2007-2010. Paolo Nutini really underwhelming compared to those as he's not particularly "hot" right now in any way. A set in the Rabbit Hole would be cool though, but not for a big slot in the Park or at the John Peel stage.. I just don't get why he wouldn't already be announced if so if he were doing any of those. Not that massive right now, and wouldn't be a big surprise either considering he's playing in Bristol right before the festival..

Which secret sets have we had for the bigger stages last few years? Foals last year, The Killers in 2017. IIRC we had a TBA/TBC slot at the other stage in 2017 too, which turned out to be Liam Gallagher. That was announced before the festival though. I don't think we had any on the bigger stages in 2016?

I don't mind him, but isn't he an extremely boring act for a secret set?
