Any recommendations for re-hydration tabs/electrolytes?

I've used these in recent years and found them excellent but make sure it's the ones without caffeine

Minstrels. Always have some in my bag for when we need an energy boost (esp later in evening). They have survived even the hottest Glastonbury without melting 👍

On rehydration tabs/Berocca etc. I was told by someone educated in nutrition that if you're eating reasonably salty food (such as most of the stuff at festivals) they're a waste of time.  You piss out most of the supplements in them apparently.  The minerals and vitamins in the food plus enough water would be a better way of doing it as you would absorb more.  She also told me that the main deficit in your diet during 5 days at a festival would be the stuff you get in fresh fruit and veg.  So my advice would be to hit the Co-op and get some fruit down you.

I've collected a pretty decent armoury of festival gadgets over the years but here's a handful that are on the essentials list for me:

Collapsible bucket: paired with a few face cloths, fantastic for a quick wash/refresh or a cool down if it's very hot
https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/folding-camping-bowl-8-litres/_/R-p-123205

D-Rings: Why use your hands when you can clip things to your bag?
https://amzn.eu/d/eJ63uYc

This Water Sprayer Gadget: Screws on to a 2 little bottle, perfect for a quick shower (hat tip to the efester who highlighted this to me a few years back)
https://amzn.eu/d/gDG7BhT

Poncho Towel: Perfect for chilling in after a wash at camp (or keep it in your bag so that you can drop in for a quick shower while passing Greenpeace during the off-peak)

https://amzn.eu/d/eIeMwbd

Mesh Storage: Handy for fresh jocks & socks

https://amzn.eu/d/fsIT8id

Fairy Lights: They cost next to nothing but work so much better than a torch in your tent at night, particularly in a fresh n' black tent. They also work great outside (if you water proof the battery pack with duct tape)

https://www.primark.com/en-gb/c/home/home-furnishings/storage-and-accessories/lighting

Battery Pack: This is the obvious one, fast charge is the future!
https://www.amazon.co.uk/stores/Anker/PowerBanks_FORPHONES/page/8D14F7FE-8C5F-4734-9DBC-5BA057AFE6D8

Lightweight Camping Chair: More expensive that others but they last (or at least mine has - this glasto will be it's 6th festival)
https://amzn.eu/d/0BQ2Hrd

Dry Bag: Handy for keeping things dry at a wet festival but also doubles up as ice bag for keeping cans cool on a hot day
https://amzn.eu/d/6bvfXnd

Storage Container: I put everything I'm bringing into the festival in a plastic container (which I also store everything in post festival season). That's booze, a few snacks, toilet roll and anything else I can't fit in my backpack. Makes things gar easier to bring and out of the festival
https://amzn.eu/d/5MELnvR (these are expensive, there are much cheaper ones elsewhere)

Double Sleeping Bag + Real Pillow: Getting enough (decent) sleep is key for me, so I try and make the (black out) tent as comfortable as possible

I've got this. It's an easy win. The only minor thing is that it can sometimes be mildly awkward to hold, and so I'm considering getting a separate spoon & fork this year that are closer to traditional shapes. Would definitely still go with titanium* though due to how lightweight it is while feeling as strong as "normal" cutlery.

*technically an alloy that includes titanium, before someone gets pedantic about it.

I'll add this to the conversation - the best torch I've ever owned.

https://flashlight.nitecore.com/product/tini2

Weighs hardly anything, barely noticeable in your pocket, and adjustable brightness that goes all the way up to far too bright. USB-C rechargeable as well. When I contrast it to the old maglites that used to be considered the flashlight of choice, the difference is crazy.

Only catch is it's more expensive than most would look to pay for a torch - 30+ quid on a china import, or 40+ quid domestically. Worth it though, especially if you can find a discount (which is often possible).

I have this one which I keep on a lanyard at the festival, same brand but a different model. Also USB rechargeable and very small and only  £12.90!! ☺️

This lathered on your feet with a pair of socks whilst in your sleeping bag, just before you pop your ear plugs and eye mask on (other essentials) absolute bliss!
Cools and takes away the throb as you sleep 👌🏽

Never go without a bottle

I'm the worst at this question...I'm a dreadful over-packer. I take as much as I can fit in my caravan and then of course spend hardly any time there and don't use half of it! If anyone needs anything though...give me a shout. I'm bound to have it 🤦🏼‍♀️

EDIT: I didn't mean drugs obvs just to clear that up

Can you expand on this please. The link just goes to the Anker page but are there a next generation of chargers with more bang for buck?  I could be in the market for a new one but my last Anker was actually a step back from its predecessor in terms of cost / power.

I always make sure that I am carrying lightweight snacks that are both sweet and salty so that if I need a sugar rush or am feeling dehydrated I can top up. As well as always carrying a bottle filled with water that's usually sufficient.

Sorry, I just linked to the main Ankler page as I’ve had lots of great Anklers in the past and they’ve usually got a great selection.

However the one I have at the moment, is this one: https://www.mi.com/uk/product/mi-50w-power-bank-20000/ (wasn’t sure I’d find a UK link but there you go. For any Irish here, you can grab it here: https://www.xiaomi.ie/xiaomi-power-bank-20-000-mah-50w-fast-charge-black-eu/ )

I’ve a Samsung phone that has fast charge and that pack can charge it up fully in a little over an hour. Best pack I’ve ever owned.

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
