No Mik Artisik? Not seen him on any lineup yet. Wonder if he is playing or not

I think I'm right in saying that last year it was the Croissant Neuf guys that got him back in the door. If he's not on the bandstand this year then I dunno if it's looking super positive

I recognise the name Jesca Hoop, but can't think were from or bring to mind any of her stuff.  Is she a fave of 6Music?

She's American but moved to Manchester I think because she is/was in a relationship with someone who has something to do with Elbow so she is a friend of Guy Garvey. She also did a radio documentary for the BBC about Joni Mitchell who is obviously a big influence on her.

Yes, I'd say she's 'quirky' but that sounds negative, she was playing at the Bury Met

Was hoping to see Rhythm of the 90s again on this but maybe they will pop up somewhere else 🤞

Me too, this was the one I was waiting for but I think their size has outgrown the tent. I saw them back in 2019 when working and the tent was rammed then. Someone said even at like 1am after Arctic Monkeys last year it was stupidly rammed then with lots going on everywhere and a lot of idiots there so sounds like if they are there it would just need to be a bigger place.

I wouldn't rule them out being in the final lineup, they are free.

OMFG! No Steve Knightley? And we know he's at the festival (Left Field). Must've been a bust up 🤣

Saw Bakery at Avalon a couple of years back; they're amazing? Rainbow Girls are cool too, but never seen them live. Good lineup!

Tbh it wasn't as rammed last year as previous years, I think having them on Friday helped. Hoping they pop up on the line up elsewhere...

Good to see Mad Dog McRea back - I think it’s been a few years

2019.  We hot footed it to CN after Frank T had headlined Avalon to catch it.  Got there just in time and just managed to squeeze into the tent.  They were great.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
