  1. Didn't get tickets for this but had no idea about the Tickets for Good website so have signed up for that - thanks for bringing it to my attention πŸ™‚
  2. Anyone know who's the bbc introducing TBA at 5pm today?
  3. Smallest - Low Anthem - Pyramid Stage in 2011 Probably one of my favourite bands and to put them first on a stage as big as the Pyramid was a crazy booking - made my day to watch them though Biggest - Killers 2017 - Rammed
  4. My first Glastonbury was 1997. While Radiohead was still my favourite ever gig, it took me 10 years to recover from the mud/cold and then I went again in 2007. I remember waking up on the Sunday and was just worn down from it raining again and we left before the last headliner. I chanced it again in 2010 (my favourite ever glasto) and haven't looked back since. This year will be fine - I'm battle hardened from those first two. I've realised that the gear I bring is the most important thing - waterproofs, thermals and decent shoes/wellies.

    The Park 2023

Saw Los Bitchos at eotr last year. They are so much fun live. Definitely worth a look
  6. I was there in 1997. Took me 10 years to come back and it was 2007 and just as bad. Thought I'd never come back again then 2010 happened 🌞🌞🌞
  7. Saw The Lathums last night (who were brilliant!), they had a Q&A before the gig and were asked if they were playing Glastonbury and they could neither confirm or deny it. I expect that means they'll be there 🀞🏾🀞🏾🀞🏾
  8. This is amazing Ben - thanks - it will try and temper some of my aimless wandering that I always end up doing at 2am searching...!
  9. My annual post as a previous hard trance/house fan wanting something a bit hard, euphoric and uplifting but a bit too old to know much of the line up these days πŸ˜†. Any tips? VTSS looks good!
  10. Cannot bloody wait for Elton. But I'm most looking forward to stumbling on to some gem that I've not heard of before. In a funny way, when the line up hasn't got 1000 bands that you want to see it makes the experience so much more relaxed and open to seeing smaller stages and new acts. Which I love. ❀️
  11. Appreciate it hasn't happened for many years but I got in on a secret May resale in 2012ish. It was the best feeling! Good luck to you all, I hope there's still a chance given the change in payment method 🀞🏾
  12. 1. Bicep (blew me away πŸ˜€) 2. IDLES 3. Crowded House
  13. Agreed - this is my worst clash. I'm leaning towards Crowded House as have been lucky enough to see First Aid Kit a few times already.
  14. Me too - my girlfriend and I opened the tent on the Sunday - looked at each and other and start packing away. Ended up watching the Who on TV when we got back. It was just endurance...
  15. Thanks Paul, does this mean I can still pitch a regular tent near me or does it have to be an awning?
  16. Hi I'm going convoy in my camper with some friends in their campervan and we've got 4 tents between us to pitch in the East Campervan site so our friends can join us. The blurb on the website says we can't but just wondering how much leeway we'll get when we're on site to pitch them. Thanks!
  17. Get some super comfy slippers. Set your lounge up with surround sound and get your favourite take away in along with some high quality beers and dance away.
  18. Would love it to be Sports Team
  19. One year (and this is genuine) my ticket was the only one that hadn't arrived. I called See Tickets and they said they hadn't sent them because they had been informed I had died. I attended the festival that year fearing it had been a chilling premonition of an impending OD/death in long drop. Thankfully I survived.
  20. Anyone been to see a DJ set by Jon Hopkins? I was blown away by him when he headlined West Holts previously. Is it a bit more chilled or upbeat?
  21. This is why this forum is so great. I get much the same on our WhatsApp groups. But I get super excited by them. I like the drip drip of the posters - builds the anticipation nicely
  22. Amazing! Thanks guys, will definitely check those tips out. Can't understand myself why that genre died out but I am a bit biased πŸ˜‰
  23. Back in the day, I used to mainly go to Uplifting and Hard Trance nights when I was clubbing (i.e. aeons ago). Seems like this musical genre has sort of died and I struggle to find newer acts who play similar sorts of music. Can anyone suggest any of the line up that would appeal along these lines? Very much looking forward to Bicep but not sure I know much else of the line up. Thanks!
  24. My brother was on the phone to me saying there's loads of room, keep pushing, keep pushing. There clearly wasn't, he was being a lying bastard to get me there. I'm glad I persevered though, they blew me away πŸ˜€
