As if anyone thinks Glastonbury is going to be scheduled based on which slots a girlfriend and boyfriend are going to be playing 🤣

Well it also means they have quite a big crossover audience...who's better. Charli vs Neil Young is obviously a better way to do it and they'll know that.

Love this how whole debate has just come from one person mentioning what if Charli plays on the Friday 🤣

So, is there any chance that 1975 are NOT playing? What percentage? 🤣

They’ve been reliably mentioned, but nothing ironclad!

Would say there’s a very good chance of them playing, but wouldn’t be totally shocked if plans changed at all.

They’re the least confirmed of the three now I guess!

Who was the last artist the denizens of the eFestivals forum were, by and large, so desperate to not be headlining, out of curiosity? 😉

everyone someone different every year ... I think we may all quietly be looking for perfection individually all years and its impossible for that to happen , its just natural that some years will be better pyramid headline wise than others especially if youve done a few

Even 2013, which was a vintage year so say we all, was marred by the Mumfords coming along and lifelessly closing the festival whilst apparently unaware that there was a crowd out there watching.

One of the all time greats by many's standard, 2009, I failed to see a single Pyramid headliner out of Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Blur.  I still find that vaguely amusing today, sometimes the best time at Glastonbury is making a different choice, giving up on the big names and just sticking with what you're doing at the time because you're having the time of your life.  Sometimes the worst time at Glastonbury is ending up watching something you aren't particularly enjoying because you felt like you had to be there and not just making the decision to go find other fun.

It's work though innit.  Means they get the rest of the weekend together rather than working alternate nights and losing 2/3rds of the weekend.

Sure - I understand that there's info for both nights.

I just don't think the fact she's married to the 1975's drummer means they can't clash.  If anything it could make a clash more likely.

I agree with this, there is 210k people in attendance for a part of that crowd to support them, 1 person that would have seen them multiple time vs both having the same time to enjoy the festival is feasible. Not saying that's how it's going to happen but I certainly wouldn't rule it out. We don't have anything that's 100% confirmation of anything yet.

Last year for me …. Just shows how varied it is and how well they cater for many different tastes

Same for me.  I was spoiled for choice every night, caught one Pyramid headliner for the spectacle which I got to watch with my son.  The other 2 nights I was elsewhere enjoying the chance to see my absolute favourite live acts while being spoiled for choice and having multiple options each night where I could have gone 2 or 3 different ways and had a great time.

Last year was one of the best I've ever attended.  Loved every minute (apart from some neighbour related sleep issues) and if I don't get to return it'll be a damned fine memory to carry with me.

I think the organisers are probably more likely to not clash Charli XCX & The 1975 because of their audience crossover compared to the Charli XCX/Neil Young crossover, not because of Charli + George's relationship.

That being said I really hope Charli is Friday because that NY/Charli clash is killing me

Shania Twain felt like that this past year. Granted, was tired AF and felt like resting, but definitely a learning lesson.

I seem to recall that ELO were a bridge too far for me one year, and took the opportunity to just park my arse in a chair back at camp and have a smoke and a chat instead.  Did me the world of good, just enough energy recouped before the rain returned for one last stab at finishing the festival on a high note (spoilers: it worked out perfectly).

Probably doesn’t mean too much because we know a lot of the rumoured names for the bigger slots but does this mean Halsey may be around for the G?

halsey has been teasing a summer tour and posted an instagram story with a link to sign up for updates a couple days ago. Just a wait and see.

Yeah agreed, I missed underworld that year which still hurts. The mud just made getting around far too slow with two pre teens. We ended camped way out at wicket, only time I camped there and never again.

I agree with your first sentence - there's two clear reasons why clashing them makes no sense (or one clear and one not clear however you want to look at it!)

Yes, we really wanted to enjoy ELO but we were soaked, cold and hungry so saw some of their set and headed off for some comfort food under shelter. And like you it worked well and enjoyed the rest of the night.

    • Hey everyone! My friend and I are heading over from Sweden to Tramlines this summer. We had our eyes on a bunch of different festivals in the UK, but since most of them sold out before we even knew if we’d be able to make the trip, we finally settled on Tramlines. Why Tramlines, you might ask? Well, because we’re absolutely crazy about British music, and finding a festival like this (where you also don’t have to camp, a huge plus) made it impossible not to buy a ticket. The fact that I’ll also get to see The Enemy after beeing a fan for 19 years didn’t hurt either.   Since the app doesn’t work over here… is the Clashfinder schedule 100% accurate? What’s the venue like, and what does the map look like? Which sides of the stages are best to stand on? How long does it take to walk between stages? What are the prices usually for food and drinks? Is it easy to get to the festival from town? And is it easy to get back into town? Is it allowed to walk around with a beer anywhere in the venue, or are there those stupid fenced-off bar areas? As you can tell, I need all kinds of info, so please share your best tips and tricks to make this the best festival experience possible.  I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! 😃
    • A whole year of this!  What a time to be alive! This is going to be an incredible playlist.
    • Sorry matey.  Always a nightmare when you have a plan and something scuppers it.   Happy myself, fills a nice little gap for me. Lucky so far really.     I’d have preferred an alternative too to break up the 21 pilot set but shan’t complain
    • Happy with the name, unhappy with what it did to the lineup. Now I have to choose between Florence Road and Beirut 😞 and still no alternative to 21p.
    • Odd and rare for RW indeed! I even remember reading in the past that one of the reasons for certain bands not appearing there, were similar demands being rejected. It’s weird that they play after Gorillaz and even more weird that there won’t be an alternative. All they had to do was push Pixies to later.
