I think they'll do a cheeky warm-up show in Manchester in June. Something like the Apollo or Academy.

Would be a bold gambit to come back and go straight in to play to 70k in the Millennium Stadium tbf. Although if any band is arrogant enough to do that, I think it would be the Gallagher duo.

Tbf Liam has been doing stadiums/big venues for a long while now, had he remained in Beady Eye or the Solo career didn't take off and was playing academies I think there'd be a worry (and likely no oasis reunion for that matter). He's more than capable of rocking up and singing the tunes, Noel and the rest of the band will likely rehearse together.

Sad that the first time they probably perform together in any capacity will be that first night in Cardiff, would guess they'd be at arms length until that date. Exact reason why they wouldn't play Glasto either or any warm ups, wouldn't want a bust up to hinder the multi-million pound tour.

I reckon there will be one warm up somewhere either in Manchester or somewhere very out of the way - and likely over Glastonbury weekend itself. Cornwall, perhaps, and likely announced on the day.

Yep, and very precise circumstances of getting tickets, like a ballot a la Foo's at Cheese and Grain. I think most likely option is a behind closed doors friends and family gig, which would be great viewing as part of the DVD/Documentary.

I know Angels and Airwaves quite often do that at the start of a tour, and the odd clips that make their way onto the internet are always quite cool. Takes the pressure off being on stage for the first time in a while when its a room of family and friends too. Would be a huge coup for the G to get them back, but unfortunately a 0.00000000000000000001% chance of that this year. If, for whatever reason, the tweet about them not playing glastonbury gets deleted then I will be optimistic

Massive Attack just threw the fest under the bus so you can have a chuckle.  Meanwhile theyll fly to Mexico in April and play at a festival thats in a park next to a refinery. 🙄

I thought you said Coachella can get all the top artists because they pay a lot of money?

Tbf the sheer amount of golf courses in the American South West, regarded as a very water scarce region, is crazy. I'm aware people can push back and go "What about X, Y or Z", but does it change that?

It does not. Money talks.

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
