Doesn't look like he's played with any of those since the 1980's. I saw him and his enormous mullet with the Floyd in 1988

Looking back on his account, there's very little music related for about 6 years, nearly all NFT bollocks now. Plus his following count is massive, probably just follows people so they follow him back.

Still... it was vaguely interesting for a minute or two.

Just watching Fred again.. at Reading. Looks awesome. For me, it looks better than his Other Stage slot last year.

Think he'd nail a Friday night Pyramid headline slot.

would also say if he kept the set shorter it would benefit em. This was 75 mins. But maybe adding 10 mins wouldnt hurt so it felt a bit more of a full performance. And you could also have a later start time. He could go on at 10:30 so you can schedule the Pyramid a bit diff that day.

All the amazing, ground breaking dance acts that have played at glasto in the last 3 decades...... The Chems, Fatboy, Justice, Underworld, Goldie, Bicep, Leftfield, Orbital, Daft Punk..... a Sasha / Digweed DJ Set.....and everyone is hoping for populist, unoriginal Fred ' flash in the pan poundland Calvin Harris' again to headline. Dance Music for people who know nothing about dance music !

Just shows the slim pickings available to festival bookers these days.... its like getting the Vengaboys or Ultrabeat to headline glasto '97

No you’re right.

They should get Leftfield to headline. REAL MUSIC for REAL DANCE MUSIC FANS.

All those people who loved Fred’s Other stage set are wrong.

Yeah they may have all been having the time of their life, but jokes on them.

They didn’t realise it wasn’t REAL music.

We could just celebrate that finally a dance act has a good chance of headlining the Pyramid?

I’d be absolutely amazed if they play Glastonbury tbf. All the gigs start a month after Glastonbury and someone would have paid them absolutely millions and millions to play them, why would they let them do Glastonbury for basically free?!

Could also be a train wreck being their first gig too

Also, the fallow year has probably come at a bad time as I’m sure 2026 would have been a much easier year to get them to play

why does any artist? cause it's the biggest & best festival in the world

both of them have played glasto in the last few years as solo artists, I'm sure they'll be making plenty from their other dates

Unless they don't televise it?

If the rumour is that these Manchester and London dates are for August, I would have thought Glastonbury would be too early too.

Though I will consider that if they've agreed to do a raft of European dates alongside them at festivals or arenas out there in June and July, it may still bring them back into the equation.

I'm still not that convinced they'd do Glastonbury, both for the historic nature of bombing in 2004 when it was meant to be a big comeback show and the fact that it's a bold gambit for one of your first things back being there. But the chances aren't zero.

All their shows will have been sold out long before glastonbury. Even if they are a total sh*t show people won't care. All about the atmosphere and the sing a long and having it laaarge.

    • Well he is on a rape charge, don't see that one as controversial.    Although Hakimi is in Morocco squad.
    • Electric Callboy just said they'll be touring here next year. I'm not sure there's a poster for it though. I'll look when I'm near some next.      He said we'll see you at Download at a gig before any of the band. Presumably he was trolling. They're in Austria at the moment and Germany tomorrow with a week's break and more shows in Germany. Whilst not impossible to come back here and then go over there again, it seems unlikely.
    • Thomas Partey, knocked back by Canadian immigration now.
    • I'm sure someone can update you on the clashfinder, and it will be pretty accurate by the time the festival comes around. It's a large flat-ish arena with main stage in the open air, no best side I'd say. Leadmill (3rd stage medium tent) is at the back of the main arena, T'Other (2nd stage big tent) 5 min walk round the corner. At full capacity walking around can take a bit more time though. I noticed that The Enemy are scheduled to not fully overlap with Wolf Alice, so you could catch part of their set too.   You can walk around anywhere with a beer, with most bars the usual mass market stuff, but one nice craft ale tent, back of the arena near the Leadmill stage. A main meal will set you back £10-15, but cheaper snacks also available. Expect a pint to be £7-8. Possibly a bit more this year as prices everywhere are increasing.   It's fairly easy to get to from the town centre using the tram, although can be busy at peak times / very busy at curfew. If you like a walk, it's approx 40 mins to Kelham Island (lots of indy venues) and probably an hour to the city, or catch an Uber. There will be loads of 'fringe' music events on around the city right through the weekend. Most are free. Have a wonderful trip, enjoy the festival, and your stay in our city!
    • I think people on a place like this, that clearly value live music more than most, don't. I'd rather an academy than an arena every day. But I could see a few people that care about "the gram" than the actual music wanting an arena experience even if it's a mid sized band.
