Definitely not headliner but Sofia Kourtesis album is wonderful. It’s definitely a West Holts vibe.
She was great fun in Silver Hayes (I forget which stage) two years ago and I would imagine she’s come on a fair bit since then.

Just listened to this album for the first time and had to do a little search on here to see if anybody had mentioned her. Would be an incredible vibe on Holts, although wouldn’t surprise me to see her on Silver Hayes somewhere again as that tends to be where most of this kind of music goes apart from the much bigger acts. Playing Primavera earlier in the month so hopefully she sticks around for Glastonbury too.

I saw her in Silver Hayes in ‘22. Mad as a bag of snakes. Brilliant.

  • 2 weeks later...

Thievery Corporation were previously discussed on this thread, they're playing Beyond The Pale in Wicklow the week before Glastonbury! Potential WH sub maybe?

edit: and a festival in Athens the week after! Surely this is the one!

Yeah I just had a listen to some of her stuff. That is a proper cafe del mare vibe, took me right back to drinking some of the vile local aniseed drink that I had there once. Granted, it was a stunning sunset and the rest of the night was banging.

Run The Jewels’ new album is basically finished. Could be a surprise drop over Christmas that would put them in contention - I reckon WH Headline is their slot if they do it as well.

Didn’t they surprise drop RTJ4 as well? Would be a solid choice for WH headliner.

Yeah that Silver Hayes set was really good. A lovely Saturday afternoon vibe.

Yeah fully expecting her to be there at this point and I can’t wait.

Anyone who plays a banging dance set is welcome headlining West Holts IMO.

Well almost anyone, just to negate the suggestion of Norman etc

I don’t think Norm has played West Holts yet, so it’s on his to do list.

The only main stage set he should ever be allowed to play is Pyramid opener.

Anything else and he’s clogging up prime real estate.

Four Tet's new album due early next year. WH headliner, or too soon after Park 22? He'll obviously play 46 times elsewhere but it'd be nice to see him consistently in the bigger slots now. God knows he's done his time.

He needs some new aliases

    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
    • Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
