OFFICIAL LINE FROM THE MET OFFICE: "Things are looking very nice for Glastonbury"

Aiden has spoken. Conditions are perfect; chance of very very  slight shower on Thursday (to keep the dust down) and good festival temperatures over the weekend.

In Aiden we trust.

If it is like this it will be great.

A measure of my confidence of the ground condirions is that my friend has said that they're bringing a mallet and I'm considering packing another mallet just in case.

I'm obviously still packing a Gore Tex jacket and a poncho.

👍 I’m also bringing wellies - to leave in the car as they won’t be needed. Clearly.

Still refusing to believe Friday - Sunday too much at the moment but if it does stick I can't remember one being forecast to be so nice this far out. Has always been some kind of threat of heavy rain in forecasts from what I can remember.

Or a sweat fest!

Will the GFS finally relent, or still try to keep us in April on some days? Let's find out!

GATES OPEN & WEDNESDAY

Completely dry, highs of 21-22.

During the day there's some very, very light showers but in temperatures of 25.

Overnight temps into Thursday of 15-16.

THURSDAY

Completely dry, highs of 18-19, slightly up on the last run.

Overnight temps into Friday of 10.

But pressure is not in such a strong position. Latest on the right.

FRIDAY

Completely dry, highs of 18, slightly down on the last run.

Overnight temps into Saturday of 9-10.

Very, very similar pressure picture. Latest on the right.

SATURDAY

Completely dry, highs of 17-18, two degrees down on the last run.

Overnight temps into Sunday of 11-12, slightly up.

Pressure picture marginally better off, latest on the right, and will it build in? Would explain the slight better overnight temps.

SUNDAY

Completely dry, highs of 17-18, same as the last run.

Overnight temps into Monday of 11, three degrees down on the last run.

Very similar pressure picture. Latest on the right.

SUMMARY

The GFS isn't totally playing ball on the temps, but yet another totally dry run. Only three more of these to go!

    • Really well done, Primavera. Maybe the biggest name on the lineup as a surprise. (Ecpecially if Robert joins this)
    • There's one way it can get bigger- if Robert Smith joins her on stage
    • I see what you’ve done there.  If they stick with an electronic opener I reckon it would be someone more “radio friendly”. Rudimental, FBS etc
