Viagra Boys, Joey Valence & Brae and The Offspring please.

The Offspring will make my day, but don't dare to belive after all the other "novelty-bands" that Werchter have missed out on this year. See their show in Brussels are sold out, so maybe...

If they’d bothered booking a proper headliner for that Thursday (or making any effort at all with the headliners for that fact) I’d consider this. Some wonderful smaller names in this addition

How’s Stromae not a proper headliner? He’s not as big as RHCP or Arctic Monkeys but is an amazing artist, and being from Belgium gives him extra points for a festival in Belgium. I agree that it’s the weakest day, they could’ve brought something better than Stormzy.

Out of the smaller names, I’d check out Holly Hunberstone, The Snuts, The Reytons, Bear’s Den, Viagra Boys, Vintage Trouble, Murder Capital, Just Mustard, Stone, Dead Poet Society and Inhaler. All been very good at least whenever I’ve seen them in the past

It’s funny how strong that Thursday looks in the UK. A Glastonbury headliner and two R&L headliners, as well as Stromae all in one night.

Happy with Holly Humberstone, Inhaler, Dead Poets Society and Kasabian in particular.

Just don’t rate him really, he isn’t a headliner outside of the Benelux/France really and it’s not massively my thing. Saw him at Werchter in 2014 and it works as a dance closer though. Stormzy is good live but feels weak as a Werchter headliner.

Not booking Lizzo never mind booking Machine Gun Kelly over her is absolutely mind boggling. No surprise Inhaler is back however after that packed out Barn last year. Kasabian, Vintage Trouble, Stone great additions tho this may have swayed me over to going as I'm already gutted to be missing out this year.

Lizzo is too heavy, she is a new vocal of Rammstein 🤮

Some nice additions, Friday turning out to be really really strong for my taste.  But the rebooking of the Red Hot is still to much of an issue for me. Will miss Werchter this summer for the 1st time in a while, hoping to be back next year with a lineup looking better for me (is it finally RATM time?!) Everyone going, enjoy it !

Handy then that the festival is in Benelux

It is, and I’m sure that those going will enjoy it. I’m just saying personally for me if they’d managed to get something a bit more special from the great crop acts flying around this year for that day I would have tried to find the money for it but there’s not enough there in terms of the “big” names to justify the £300 ticket and all the travel expenses involved with it

Vintage trouble back in Europe is great. Always a fantastic live act

First saw them supporting The Who about 10 year ago, made an effort to see them every time they’ve been on a festival bill or playing local since. The energy they bring is unreal

I agree that this is not the best lineup considering the history of the festival, but if you look at this lineup it’s still one of the best out there (in my opinion only Primavera Sound is better) it has all the headliners from the other festivals (besides Blur and Kendrick) and it has music for all the tastes. 2023 is just a crappy year for music festivals, feels like nothing is touring and the ones that are, they are doing solo shows (Coldplay, Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Paramore). I don’t know what people expected from this announcement, yes they could’ve got Janelle Monae or Lana del Rey, but besides that it’s stacked with everything that other festivals have or don’t have.
