Brothers is £6 a pint this year.

Sauce? Also is this the hardcore strength stuff do you know as it was when I last went? (2016 - I think it was called festival strength but it was around 7%)

good news if so. If I’m gonna get mugged off at least it’s cheaper than in my local for Neck Oil which is £6.30!

That was cheaper last year at the brothers bar but was cash only!

The Brothers 4.6% was served everywhere else

I've been told by someone who got the info from someone who is up the Brothers food chain. Could be bollocks but no reason to doubt them.

Was definetly £5 for Brothers at the west holts field all weekend, for the festival strength stuff too - cash only though so that may have been why. I guess if they've got card machines working at this bar this year, there's no issue with them raising the price to match the rest of the site unfortunately.

There seems to be a big shift towards cans at the smaller festivals this year. Neighbourhood had two big can bars after not doing so previously, and tonight at Courteeners (using Parklife site the night before) there were two pint bars and 4 can bars.

Neighbourhood ran out too - are they running on such tight margins that they won't take the risk to buy up enough?

No, events are sale or return. My friend runs an events venue, big farm that hosts weddings and VERY small meets / festivals. All her beer is sale or return (if unopened.)

They probably just underestimated how much you thirsty lot would drink, and couldn't get an order in late on Sat / Sun.

Haha fair enough - and it makes sense as Neighbourhood had a younger demographic last year with Courteeners and Kasabian, but this year had Pulp and Paul Heaton. Must've assumed just that!

I'm convinced I paid a fiver at the brothers bar at West Holt's last year. Was it actually 6 quid? Was that the stronger stuff or the 4ish % stuff (didn't pay too much attention at the time).

It was 100% a fiver a pint at brothers bar last year at glasto. Was cash only so they were obviously on the fiddle re tax / no of pints sold but if that keeps it low then im fine with that 😂

that and £5 meant no need for coins only notes
