It's starting to get worse and worse around.

While there is potential for a bit of wet stuff, the actual amount that is currently predicted to fall in total less than 3mm over the week.

Most of that will evaporate in the sun before you’ve even woken up.

OK then, let's see what the 00Z has in store...

WEDNESDAY

Totally dry, 24 degrees.

image.thumb.png.1351a5c780e91679c4879a154efc7070.png

Think we can now lock in Wednesday.

image.thumb.png.3bc7f747e87f29af6b43b8e7f8bcd819.png

THURSDAY

Small chance of a later light shower, 25 degrees,

image.thumb.png.e7c94b06fda34d692649fe87a3a18a09.png

Again, Thursday looks solid.

image.thumb.png.faa72bb52c5fa771f52d9bcd70aed84d.png

FRIDAY

Very small amount of rain around in the afternoon. 23 degrees.

image.thumb.png.cd10bae840ecb2ccec7ac67ef8e211a7.png

And it it looking like Friday is now becoming locked in. So what about the weekend?

image.thumb.png.259f67479534f97c61dc731c06023354.png

SATURDAY

Low amount of rain for the site, but torrential stuff to the east to keep an eye on. Max of 17.

image.thumb.png.f21227c5ecefd9c4961d6b7e7078fad6.png

Fairly similar, low to the west of the UK.

image.thumb.png.fb0dcb01f3f9a70126d7f06ed9528e9c.png

SUNDAY

Small amount of rain around, max of 17. Though a chance of some heavier stuff around midnight.

image.thumb.png.4fc8a60339277969feb5320fcd4a48dc.png

The low is weaker here, so perhaps less certainty here. But the isobars are no longer close so the wind shouldn't be bad on Sunday. Well, not that wind anyway.

MONDAY MORNING

Light rain for packing up.

image.thumb.png.875e16e3ec96f3dc5c4d9a940e4c493d.png

SUMMARY

I think we are going to have to accept the low coming down on Saturday now. It's final position is unknown, though.

Looking a high probability of a scorching Weds ad Thurs, warm Friday, and a cool Saturday and Sunday with rain around on those days. Still up in the air (of course it is!) how much rain for the weekend.

If the sound system is good enough then wind isnt an issue. Other than the Pyramid, no other stage has repeaters on it and that alone makes it a recipe for disaster with high winds.  So add a bad engineer at the sound desk plus the winds and its gonna be some shite sound other than anyone watching bbc coverage.

Repeaters on the other this year should make it much, much better.

Why did all these people go watch U2 if they hate them so much? Other bands/ stages are available. I for example don’t like Billie Eilish. So rather than watching her and slating her on forums for years to come. I’ll watch Foals instead  🤷🏼‍♂️

I thought U2 started well, but the crowd were particularly flat. I was in the pit.

There were sound issues half way through became pretty tiresome. Some knobhead with a green lazer pen at Bono was annoying too.

Seen them 4 times. That is by a long long way the worst occaision.

So then... Wed & Thurs look awful. Friday, not great & ok to finish.

Im not pleased, but I'd take it - given what could happen

No fan of U2 but watched them cause it's U2 innit. Quite enjoyed it too...the weather was apt for the atmosphere.

Hard not to feel pretty gutted about this given where we were last week. It’s now about rainfall totals and whether we can miss the worst and get lucky.

(Disclaimer - I can’t arrive till first thing Friday so more focused on Fri-Sat-Sun)

yeah, bit of a shitter considering that on the whole we've had a lot of ideal weather this month...if it was like the first half of this week it would be great. I also think that all the people saying that looking at forecasts/models before the weekend before the festival is a waste of time are spot on and I am promising to myself not to bother in the future.

Been trying that for twenty years - good luck with it
