  1. Completely fair enough mate. I stand suitably chastised. Won’t do it again.
  2. We stay in Wincanton the night before, leave about 6am, backroads all the way and drive straight into blue/ purple carpark with no bother at all. Still stand in a queue for hours to get into the site proper though (last year particularly bad but I understand that was due to train strikes), but the car queues are a thing of the past. Also ignore "road closed" for glastonbury signs if it gives you a shortcut, locals still use it and the stewards aren't checking your address when they let you out the other side. Obviously that's cheating and it's on your conscience, but you can balance your Glasto-soul by chatting to a Greenpeace person and covering up any drunks you find sleeping in the sun.
  3. I popped it on the Google form. I thought that was the game?
  4. I’m quietly confident I have at least 100%
  5. This is still one of my all time Glastonbury experiences, and by far and away the busiest I've ever seen the Acoustic stage
  6. Family camping right behind I doubt that’ll happen.
  7. Is this a coded way of suggesting "don't do number 2s?"
  8. Read all these posts looking for new wisdom and it's all stuff I've seen/ thought of before, but this is a new one on me, and a great idea. Well done!
  9. Cheers @briddj for all the forecasts. I’m addicted to them. Let me know how you can be spotted and if I see you I’ll buy you a pint of the most expensive ale. since 2007* I’ve worn sturdy walking shoes and a showerproof jacket. Occasionally buy a poncho there if it gets crazy rainy. I always take a tiny umbrella and have only used it once to shelter from the sun during Kylie. things are always ok it’s fucking Glastonbury * tbf the only one I’ve missed is 2016 which looked like a wellyone
  10. It’s different going to watch them cause you like them and being a bit disappointed (I fall into this category). But going along just for a hate-watch is the antithesis of Glastonbury. What a waste.
  11. Why did all these people go watch U2 if they hate them so much? Other bands/ stages are available. I for example don’t like Billie Eilish. So rather than watching her and slating her on forums for years to come. I’ll watch Foals instead 🤷🏼‍♂️
  12. And that chap from Sheffield bringing the International news
  13. I get upset by the hypocrisy of championing green causes whilst every year chipping away at a bit more of the nature reserves on site (I.e. the (not so) secret piano bar and the beautiful but needless lights/ walkways/ Shakespeare stage in the woods between Pyramid and John peel). Just let some of it be. These areas are part of the magic and should be left alone.
  14. Not sure if this has already been shared but Paddy Considine confirmed his band (Riding the Low) have "a late night slot" in an interview in the Guardian at the weekend. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2022/apr/12/paddy-considine-interview-music-is-what-i-love
