Sheffield Steve
The midday run of the Canadian GEM reverts back to its previous stance and puts the low out to our west. But it doesn’t exert too much influence on our weather. It moves possible showers up from France (as per the French model and the Countryfile forecast) on Thursday evening. …and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday it’s a case of sunshine and showers, with temperatures dropping back to the high teens. All in all as good as we can expect at this stage. At least it looks like we won’t have a deluged festival. Probably.

Fred Zepplin
Perfect weather. Sunny for the first few days walking around and then when the cameras come we get a bit of rain. We don’t want people watching it on tv to think it’s sunny all the time. Got enough people trying to get tickets as it is 3
Sheffield Steve
So Countryfile baulked at going much past Thursday, but this is what their model is showing them (and us). They bring the low in slowly as a rather slack feature until it’s slap bang over the country by Sunday. By Friday evening they bring an organised band of rain in from the west, as per other models. Saturday becomes a day of sunshine and showers behind the front. But with the low over the country by Sunday, their model really peps up the showers into bands across the country, so if we get stuck under one of those, we could be in for a wet one. The models differ widely by the Sunday though..

henry bear
Worth bearing in mind that even if low pressure does prevail, that’s no guarantee of crap weather. It almost guarantees lower temperatures but not necessarily much rain. And high pressure doesn’t guarantee nice weather - as we’ve seen this weekend
