To celebrate May day madness here is the first and true weather report from the ground in Pilton at 12.58 today. it was 15.5 degrees with 87% humidity . The RAM jam jar has insufficient moisture to me

Accuweather are just making it up!  Literally everywhere else says some form of rain lingering till Monday at least. GFS not looking awful, and concurring with ECMWF that there'll be a random bit of low pressure floating around until Wednesday, then getting replaced by high after that, but still prone to error at that point I suppose?

Why is it that the closer to the event we get the more bizarre and varied the forecasts?   Surely we should have some more certainty by now please?

I'm bringing all the clothing I own just to be sure I've got the right attire.

The horrific sunday stuff misses and is lighter, then there's a bit extra on Monday afternoon that concentrates right over Pilton but the forcefield will see to that. Another sprinkle on Tues eve and maybe Weds eve.

That awful circle of low over the UK on the previous run that brought the baltic temperatures has lost out this time, and it's looking like quite the opposite - high dominating, but not bring a heatwave. 17 on Weds, 20 on Thurs, 22 on Fri, 24 on Sat...

Probably too soon for compromises but as long as it’s dry when we’re there, that’s main thing. Yes a muddy, waterlogged site on arrival can be awful but it always amazes me how it generally improves relatively quickly. Granted what we really want is hot sun.
