I never used to be a Paul Weller solo material fan but I actually quite liked his last album.

jfc Paul Weller too now? Is Glasto doing some kind of nostalgia tour miserable dad rock special weekender this year? With the exception of Lizzo and Elton, not a single act with any kind of fun or unique vibe to them has been mentioned, just miserable lads with guitars all weekend babyyyy.

I'm not sure, I'm not going to pretend I put a whole load of thought into my original post. I guess I just mean if you play me a Lizzo or Elton John song I'll instantly know it's a Lizzo or Elton John song. Not sure I can say the same for Paul Weller.

True. Hes not as "fun", granted. 

Its another odd year for touring and festivals though. Another shit year frankly. Have yet to see one lineup thats impressed me so could be a case Glasto just takes what they can get.

Pretty sure most people would be able to identify a Paul Weller song, whether they like them is another issue.

I probably wouldn't recognise a Lizzo song if played one.

I actually really liked Saturn's Pattern, so I enjoyed the 2015 set a lot. Will give that last one a listen.

I already regret my post so much you all would not believe how much. But yeah basically like 95% of the posts on this forum I'm saying I would like the bands I like to play the festival I'm going to. Probs shouldn't have came down so hard on dad rock, dads love it.

It's a point of view you that you hold that you've started to get repetitive about. Some will agree, some won't.
