I reckon it would be special for him to get Ringo out to play With A Little Help From My Friends

Ringo is in the US I think.

Neil Young is the only one I’d really want to see for A Day in the Life but it seems a bit fanciful at this stage.

Ah that's a bit disappointing.

You can't deny how perfect the shithousery would be to see Liam Gallagher come out for it, playing on The Pyramid above Noel on the same day.

I agree, but there's always the chance that it won't be done right! It's Gorillaz for me, went on my own as no one else was interested and it was not as good as it should have been. For my wife it was Springsteen, I accompanied despite no interest, she's a huge fan. After 30-40 minutes we decided our time was better spent elsewhere.

Both of those sets were below par efforts from the artists though. You got really unlucky.

I skipped Bowie for Basement Jaxx. Although I had a great time at Basement Jaxx with all my mates and even caught one of the t-shirts they were throwing out, I can't believe I did it! My biggest Glasto regret.

My mates convinced me we should do a different festival that year. We went to V. Jesus.

That's a done deal, surely? East coast the last date, nine days before the Glastonbury Saturday

What a buzz

He could take a boat in that time!

The theme tune to Gladiators.

Excellent topicality during Storm Eunice.

That James Brown performance was one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

I was always gutted I missed that. Now I'm relieved.

This is cheating slightly but Golden Slumbers > Carry That Weight > The End

There will be tears from me, Bob.

Dave Grohl can't even do a guest slot on Saturday Kitchen

A Sprinty Dave guest slot somewhere over the weekend is an inevitability.

If Kendrick has kept any of those “rock” tracks he was working on then it wouldn’t be a shock to see Grohl noodling away over one of them.

    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
