So if someone doesn't want to wear a mask what happens? Is it a request or a mandate in reality?

This is the policy we have at my escape room business. We allow people to take them off once they begin their game and the hosts have left the room.

If someone doesn’t want to wear one… then they don’t get to come in.

“We are delighted that the UK's Covid vaccination drive has been so effective. However, at this stage not all of our staff have received full protection.

To ensure both their safety and the safety of visitors in this time of transition, we request that all guests continue to wear a mask or face covering whilst in the presence of our hosts.

Adhering to this rule will be a condition of entry and if you do not arrive with a mask, one will be provided for you. If you have any questions about this or your booking please get in touch”

The wife and I are trying to find a cat dealer so we can get stoned off cats, all the cat dealers we can find are out of cats anyone know any cat dealers in the south west.

Cats Protection usually have kittens and cats for re-homing?  Or RSPCA? I got my trio from CP.

So we are not respecting personal choice as the PM said we would a few weeks ago.  So what's the point in the future we do I suppose is the next question?

There are no more points for goverment really to change things now and business will always default to the guidance.

My customers have a choice. The choice is to follow the rules I’ve put in place to minimise risk of transmission to my staff…. or don’t come 😀

they're all out of cats round here.... and the wife doesn't think she can cope with a cat and a husband at the moment.

It’s kitten season so probably find more around in August/September available when they get to 12 weeks?
Hope you are recovering at home ok. Here’s a picture of my cats to keep you going 😀

We will be back at 100k plus cases by end of next week.

This is going to go tits up and quickly. Anyone who doesn't think restrictions are going to be in place by end of summer is having a laugh.

They've rushed this imo and should have waited.

Till what? Unless all kids are vaccinated then nothing changes.

They should have finished the vaccine program and got more people over 20 double jabbed.

End of story.

Great, and they could still catch it and get positive tests anyway!

I would have thought this was obvious to most people - specially anyone with kids and concerns over education.

the zero covid lot and Fake SAGE want lockdown restrictions until next Spring. They wont say it out aloud of course, just a constant 'wait a few weeks for this milestone' and then jump on any bad news to push for restrictions longer. If we do delay, even when all adults are offered 2 jabs, they'll then start on kids needing to have it, and then 'just wait for winter to be over' e.t.c.

The BMJ are trying to make banning indoor hospitality a 'minor' thing which it most certainly is not, and is them being disingenuous.

A lot of the freaking out over the past week has to do with stories and first hand accounts about double jabbed people still getting it - the vast majority will be totally mild symptoms, which is obviously brilliant.

But it's the fault of the media (and bits of the government) that the reality of this summer doesn't line up with what they implied or promised people with this rollout: which was that vaccines were magic and you wouldn't be at risk. Suddenly people have realised they are and they can't get their head around it.

    • Came here to post that.   Not based on any info, can just see it happening.
    • I'm not sure about the entrance but it wouldn't be a surprise to find the festival have secured use of the land from Steanbow who own it for either new CV space, or for authorised off-site camping as they did with Worthy View.  An authorised off-site pitch-your-own with decent facilities priced just below WV would fly off the shelves as an option.
    • Burnham needs to hold onto his seat , plus needs labour to hold onto all those other seats that could go Reform, so I think some blue labour stuff might stay...and it will be back to the tactic of hoping enough left/liberal voters will get behind labour and not go Green in order to stop a Reform govt...obviously wasn't working with Starmer, but might with Burnham if he shows enough leg. Have to see, Burnham is going from a cushty job where he's very popular and seen as successful to probably the most difficult job going, prime minister of this country...and his popularity might not last long when people realise he can't fix all the problems over night. What he can do is give a sense of direction and optimism which is badly needed, but he will also be faced with a whole bunch of nasty trade offs and could be where Starmer is now in a matter of months.
    • Yep, The Cure and The xx are the two most painful misses for me this year. The Cure literally plays at every corner, except the one I attend to.
