So the shit show continues, numbers are continuing to rise as are the concerns of the nation, is it too much to ask for at least an update statement from our illustrious leaders? I'm not asking for a tv brief, just a brief - too much to ask?

Parents are sat at home wondering if their kids can go to school next week or not, they need to know now not in a few days time.

I despair with our government, in today's society where communication is now so so easy, why it it that they continue to struggle?

Anyway, on a positive note, I've changed my smoke alarms batteries, an annual end of year evolution, mind you the dog didn't go a bundle on testing 😄

It's got to be because they have to look forced into doing things they don't believe in and that are unpopular with their voters

I've been reading about this vaccine.

Well the rising numbers should force them...

It's all about honest communication from our government off the back of their decisions and  choices, something I don't see enough of from No.10.

nope...can't think of any...but I'm sure Telegraph/Mail/Express will tell us all will be grand in a few weeks.

And once we are all happy that everything will be fine, they’ll tell us that the worst ever, ever COVID strain has been discovered and we’ll need to lockdown for months.... and the cycle continues

Taken from another forum...

Case rates per 100,000 population over the last 7 days

Wales 17,507 cases      555.3
Scotland 6,256 cases        114.5
Northern Ireland N/A Data not currently available for this metric. 0
England 226,191 cases       401.9

England and Wales now out of control.

Oxford, we need you. We need you bad.

I've got a curry getting delivered for tea.

Jealous! Since we moved we haven't found one with good enough reviews to justify ordering one. Will be relying on just having one when we visit my dad as there's a great one near him but obviously cant do that right now

I wouldn’t get too freaked out by the case numbers, hospitalisations today passed the previous highest peak which was 12th April, so that is the concern of course.

On 12th April we had just over 4,000 confirmed cases that day, so we’re reporting 10x more now with the same amount being hospitalised.

Thats not to take away from the issue which is the same now as back then, hospitalisations being too high, just don’t let the actual case numbers cause you too much distress.

indeed just a shit 24 hours .... thats how it rolls unfortunately .....

I had a bad spell last week mate so know how it feels. It does pass though!

Whilst the figures - cases, hospitalisations look bad this was to be expected as we enter Winter. It is going to be tough but we are all here for each other.

    • Zero chance of Primavera. Zero. Wrong festival.
    • If Reform do win in Makerfield then I think they're nailed on to win the next election, and labour will implode. Simple as that.
    • Bit close...if enough of those Restore votes go to Reform...
