Yeah doesn’t seem to have made the splash I’m sure she/her label were hoping for and dropped off pretty quickly. Here’s hoping single #2 fairs a bit better. I doubt she’s on track for a flop album but Houdini didn’t get things off to the best start.

Her dance moves in the video are better than the song it's self and that tells you everything as she isn't the best mover.

Had she not been set to headline next year, I don't think she'd have got it later. There are acts that sell tickets quicker than she does in the UK easily that wouldn't get that headline spot.

Have had a soft spot for Dua Lipa since I saw her on the Friday afternoon in 2017 in John Peel (is that now being called a different name?) while waiting for The Lemon Twigs!

Houdini isn't very good but I think working with Kevin parker and his pal Tobias is maybe a risk if you're looking for a nailed on hit. Dance the Night is a monstrously huge song however, deservedly so imo, and another impressive writing credit for Mark Robson - I had assumed his days of big songs were behind him.

@northernangelwho are the acts you think would shift more UK tickets than Dua Lipa at the moment? Am interested.

Think people are in for a shock how that song is going off at G 🤣

I'm tempted to go just for that song. Not that I like it but I always makes me laugh when it gets an airing at the match. It's just so odd that it's been added to the cannon.

I think she's equally as baffled tbh but it's good to have something more upbeat to play.

I can see a mass exodus after it's been played.

    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
