Anyway back to Kenny, who's excited for him and Denzel Curry to drop the track of the year on this rock infused hip hop album of the decade?

I trust him but I’m a bit worried it’s not gonna be great. Can’t think of many examples of rock leaning hip hop albums I’m massive on.

When it works it really does though like 99 Problems or whatever.

I think he'll be savvy with it. As funny as it is to joke about, he's not gonna go full Limp Bizkit is he. Also the only info we've got is that it incorporates much more of a rock sound than previous releases. Rock is such an expansive genre and Kendrick draws from such a wide range of influences that I can't imagine he's about to release a shit corny album.

Imo both of Kanye’s MBDTF and Yeezus is are great examples of a rock sound incorporated in to hip hop albums.

I don’t see Kendrick about to rap over a full band head banging behind him - just some more rock flourishes throughout the production and less traditional pop/hip hop song structures.

Aye good point. Can’t see Kendrick sounding like that I dunno. I trust him he’s sick.
